The purpose of refinancing was to get rid of PMI I still have to pay 1200 for PMI. If I would have known I would not have taken the 2000 in cash. I was not informed of this until closing and it took almost 1 month longer than I was told to close, so I did not want to go through everything again. Communication was poor and every week was requesting a new document.

I was given several different closing amounts ranging from in the 600s to the high 2000s. I really like Pennymac as a year ago when I did a streamline the person that was in charge did an outstanding job with the numbers. This time it wasn’t so accurate although in the end it was to my advantage.

The initial contact, Michael, was pleasant, kind, and competent. He actually gave me information that I had never heard before that helped me better understand closing costs. There was no pressure of any kind. I have refinanced several times over the years and this experience far exceeded any previous interactions. The loan officer was thorough and competent as well. Cheree clearly communicated and always responded quickly. The closing went faster than anticipated. It came just at the right time
