I was very pleased how Penny Mac completed my loan refi. At first, I was skeptical because Penny Mac is way large and so I thought I would be treated like a number. Nope. I was so wrong. Penny Mac is competitive with ANYONE providing refi’s and mortgages. And their response to my queries were fast and spot on.
This was a streamline loan, it took four months to get our loan closed. We were asked for documents that were not the correct documents, We would upload requested documents and the MAC team member could not see them. We had to email them to the MAC team. The other issue is you could never speak to any other representative except for your MAC team. We believe that Timothy Carter tried to do his best, but we feel that communication is a problem with your customers and employees.
Tim was very nice and very responsive.
Pennymac made the loan process very simple and easy.
Considering the climate of the market Penny Mac has done a great job getting my mortgage closed in a timely way. Thank you all for a great experience.

From the beginning to the end the people who we talked to were very kind and professional BUT THE AMOUNT IF TIME IT TOOK TO CLOSE WAS RIDICULOUS ! This is something that should be said right at the beginning. Because Penny Mac already had our mortgage we thought this would be quite simple. More should have been said UP FRONT about the wait due to Covid and low rates! We made specific plans for other home projects because of the new financing and the dominó effects were very frustrating.
