My wonderful cat was attacked by a dog, and I took him to PET. My car underwent surgery, but the injuries were fatal. This was unfathomably devastating for me. However, the vet (Dr. Vollaro) and the staff were extremely compassionate during the process.

I hired them to do an in-home euthanasia of my 15 year old, terminally ill (cancer) cat that I did not want to stress out by taking to the vet one last time. The vet and her technician were sympathetic and capable, not at all rushed. The timeframe was all about making me and my cat comfortable. My baby seized before the final shot, so it ended up being less pleasant than I'd like, but that's because he was so very ill, not due to incompetence on the part of the veterinarian. I'm docking one star because while they were v... read more

First of all a disclaimer. I was using Southside Animal Hospital for my vet until it came time to put my dog down. I wanted to do it at home and have the remains cremated but they didn't offer that service. That's when I found PET. Their service was awesome, the remains returned promptly and a personal sympathy card that they sent to us brought my wife and I to tears because the vet and assistant that came to the house took time to write lengthy personal comments. Below is the letter I wrote them. "Please distribute th... read more

I recently did a mentorship at this clinic (that entailed almost 125 hours of following around doctors and observing the clinic activities, so I should know what I am talking about). From my observations I can firmly state the staff and doctors at PET do their utmost to give proper diagnosis and treatment to pets. Many times I have observed the doctors discussing puzzling cases with each other (even calling each other late at night) and trying to determine the causes. Never did I observe the doctors maliciously adding on dia... read more

This place is great. They treat you with respect, are totally honest with you and are HIGHLY trained, HIGHLY competent veterinarians. I've taken my dogs there several times for emergencies and they have always been handled perfectly. I have never had a question about a charge as they typically explained everything to me up front. I even had the tragic experience of having to put a dog down here - which sucked. They did it better than anyone I've ever seen - in terms of how they treated us. They were truly genuine in their ... read more

My husband and I were much more upset than we thought we'd be when we found our cat deceased. When I called about cremation, then started crying on the phone, the staff was very sweet and patient until I got it together to speak. They were was equally sweet and helpful when we came in. They made an unpleasant experience better. I never thought I'd be a 40 year old woman sobbing over a cat but I was, and so was my 6 foot 2", 225 pound husband! We appreciate that your facility exists for these situations. We think you ... read more

Waited in the lobby for hours and left with my dog still limping, others were seen. Checked in with the front desk, 3 are in front of you. Same response later.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friend's dog was puking worms nonstop, and when taken here, they brushed it off and refused to help. We later found out she had a serious blockage in her intestines (from another clinic). How is that not an emergency? The staff here are apathetic, careless, and completely lacking compassion. The two ladies up front were also constantly being rude, and making faces towards us. They act like they're running a business, not an emergency hospital. If your animal's life depends o... read more
