I called PET when we left our remote property and told them our situation (pyometra) and that we were coming in, we got there in about 3 hours (2:15 am). It was 3:30 am before a tech came out to take my dog's temperature. While we were waiting, I was wiping up their floor because she was just lying in the waiting room. The tech offered us a towel for her to lay on and told me that the doctor had just finished a procedure and would see us shortly. At 6 am, I asked the receptionist about the doctor's schedule. Jose told m... read more

I took my dog here for care after a diagnosis of IMT- his immune system had attacked his platelets and he was at severe risk of death. After 1 day they tried to convince me to take him home. Other vets I had spoke to advised against this as to high risk of spontaneous bleeding out. After day 2, they told me that there was nothing they could do that I couldn't do at home and he was essentially "taking up space in a kennel." His platelets were still at ZERO! Not to mention, any time I tried to call for a check up, I was placed... read more

our cat got a head injury and the staff were more worried about money than anything else. they asked us to pay 1200$ before they even told us what was wrong with our cat. we decided to have her hospitalized for 2 days and so we paid the 1200$. the next day I didn't receive a call so I called them and they were like "we were trying to get a hold of you, is this your new number?" and it was the same number we have been using and even signed up with. they asked us to come to feed her since she was struggling and when we came th... read more

Worst pet emergency in anchorage. Your dog could be dying with parvo or some other terrible infection but if the only symptoms are bloody diarrhea, lethargy, not eating - this is not an emergency to them. You will wait hours or possibly all day and if you ask how long the wait will be, they will lecture you on their process of being a pet emergency walk in... all their availability is based on how the emergency ranks on a tier. And diarrhea "is not an emergency". They will tell you yeah we can get you in, come on down now - ... read more

Waited for 18 hours in a car in the parking lot so my dog can get help, they never called us in. Week later dog Is still crying in pain, sleepless nights.

This place needs more veterinarians. When you have to sit in your car for SIX hours just so you can euthanize your dog there is something seriously wrong there. The parking lot is no where near full either. The woman at the front desk was rather indifferent and unapologetic. They obviously don't mind dragging out what is quite possibly one of the hardest days of your life. Don't bother coming here unless you have an actual emergency because if you need to put your dog down you are going to be super low on the totem pole. And... read more

My husband and I have had to visit this place 6-7 times for 2 different pets and have had unpleasant experiences each time. For the record, neither of our situations were dire emergencies and overall our pets were treated. $ wasn't a problem for us either so although we noticed the bills being expensive, it doesn't affect our opinion. The reason for the low rating was simply due to the customer service. Some of the front desk staff is incredibly moody and rude both on the phone and in person. If your going to work for an an... read more

I took my dog in because he had something stuck in his paw that I couldn't get out. When I got him back he was acting really weird and unusual on top of that he had a very bad smell coming from his fur almost like they poured chemical on him. He wasn't eating, drinking water, or using the bathroom. So I took him back and they told me that I had to wait 6 hours and leave my dog In since the doctor was busy, so I waited in the parking lot and 3 hours later he passed away. These people are dangerous almost as if they hate pets ... read more

I do not recommend bringing your animals here. Last week Midnight sun transferred us over to the pet ER for a procedure my cat needed done over night. My cat was acting completely normal when I dropped her off. She was alert, meowing and moving just fine. When We picked her up the following morning she was not the same cat. She could barely keep her eyes open, she was lethargic, and drooling. She could hardly walk. She would not eat or drink. When she got home she hid in the bathroom and would not move. (My cat had a si... read more
