I brought my pug in to get her nails done. They made 2 of her nails bleed and didn't bother to tell me. The others are broken (jagged sharp nail pieces/split nails). The nails that they made bleed they didn't cut the nails all the way/ "properly" and are touching her foot pad. I brought all this to the managers (Sherry) attention before we left and she did offer to "fix" them, I declined. They couldn't do it right the first time and I wasn't going to put my dog through anymore torture/risk them making her bleed again! Once I... read more

Business response:

Hi Jennifer , we’re disappointed to hear that you had a negative experience at our practice. We’re sorry to hear that you felt your pet's nails were not properly handled. I do have it noted in your chart however, that we did in fact refund your MasterCard on 4/4- which you would have needed to give us to be able to do. If you have not received your refund, you should contact your banking center. We hope that you find a clinic or even better, a groomer that will suit your needs and make you feel like you can have a trusting r... read more

I have 3 issues to address. I try not to say I don't recommend a business. Everyone's experiences are different, but I can address valuable complaints. 1. Professional Practice 2. Safety/Best practice in care 3. Manipulation with cost/packages/resources. 1. Professionalism. Came to pick up cat. No other customers. I said hello. Both ladies at at the front desk did not look up from computer. Again I said hello. I'd like to pick up my cat please. One of them did not Acknowledge me and the other held her finger up. Th... read more

I had a horrible experience with Pet Samaritan. My cat has likely been in pain for over 2 months because they forgot to tell me about him having urine crystals. Plus they have shitty service and are overpriced. I took my cat Susu to Pet Samaritan in May because he was drooling and I suspected dental issues. It was confirmed he needed to have teeth pulled. They had a last minute opening for the following day. I was promised a price quote by the end of the day, which I never received. I went ahead and took him for his procedur... read more

Business response:

Hi Melly. Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about your experience. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that we did not come near to meeting that for your sweet kitty. I have fully reimbursed the charges for your visit today and did so the moment that I heard. The front desk should be contacting you today to settle up the credit to your account. They also have emailed over to you the Go Home Sheet. Again, we are truly sorry. The last thing we want is for a patient to be in ... read more

For a business with the word "samaritan" in their name, they sure don't act it! My cat has a bad UTI, as diagnosed by a telehealth visit and they refused to fill the prescription unless I brought my cat in to see their vet! I told them I chose telehealth because my cat gets extremely stressed by being transported, which would exacerbate the issue... they didn't care.

Business response:

Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about your experience, Robert . I am truly sorry that we could not be of service to you. Telehealth is new with Covid and some doctors are just not comfortable practicing this way. My suggestion would be to get the medication (script) from the telehealth veterinarian and pick up the medication at an online pharmacy or through a compounding pharmacy- if your local pharmacy does not carry it. We cannot act as a pharmacy for patients we have no "Dr./patient relationship ... read more

Absolutely not a good place to take your animal. My dog was brought in at 8 AM for an ear infection and bump on the ear causing pain and to establish a vet clinic. I gave my dog Trazadone they prescribed the night before and morning of to ease the new experience with new people at a new clinic. It says on their intake for that you will be notified to discuss treatment and begin in a timely manner. NOT THE CASE. After 7.5 hours of not hearing from them I called. They said a doctor still hasn't seen him for his check up and th... read more

Really disappointed in this practice. The people who work there are spotty, either they are friendly and try to be helpful (props to them!), or extremely disenchanted and disengaged. Previous low-star reviewers note the apathy and lack of detail in care, and they are not wrong. They don't seem to be managing Covid well compared to other practices I've interacted with. They are busy and rushed. Or maybe this is how they always have been. TWICE I was given the wrong dosage of medication. (This is a huge oversight). In their ... read more

Business response:

Ursula, we are truly sorry to hear you feel like we were not helpful in your specific situation. I reviewed your chart and saw the recommendations for what our veterinarians felt would be the most appropriate step moving forward. I also saw no mention in the chart of sending home wrong dosages of medications- if this is something you would like for me to look into further I have no problem doing that, as it is very rare that happens. From your review it looks as though you might have found a hospital that suits your needs be... read more

This is my second visit for my dog for a teeth extraction. Upon the first visit is where they told me that my dog needed this operation pains in his back molar. During the initial conversation I was told that the procedure would cost some where around $200. This morning's drop off I was "estimated" it would cost $850+. I understand how estimates work but that difference is criminal and misleading. I'm not going to not pay for the operation but the person who quoted me the original cost is not capable and will lead others li... read more

Staff was a little unhelpful and didn't follow up on the questions I had, which happened multiple times on two different appointments. A little too expensive for me to continue to deal with that level of apathy/ennui from a medical team. None of them gave me an educated vibe. I am also a little skeptic of how they treat my cat since covid I can not monitor what they are doing and she seemed pretty traumatized for exams, and not nearly as much from other visits. Said they cleaned her ears but they looked EXACTLY THE SAME. Con... read more

- had a surgery appointment for my dog, Pet Samaritan did not tell me until I lliterally dropped my dog off that our regular vet (to be performing the surgery) had "left the practice a week ago to move to Texas" - friendly techs, but incredibly unfriendly, unsympathetic vets - they offer take $ of your bill if you write a positive Yelp review -- not worth it. stay far away

Business response:

We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. Unfortunately, we are unable to identify you as a client based on the account name this review is posted from. I am wondering if you might have the wrong clinic? We have not had any changes in veterinarians since last year and none of them moved to Texas that I am aware of. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to email management at: PetSamaritan@nva.com
