BEWARE - the sales reps will tell you one thing, then write something completely different into your contract. Then, they do not provide you a copy of the contract when they leave so you cannot review the contract.We experience a lot of power outages through DTE in our area, this was the reason we wanted to go solar. They are horrible. Took over 4 months to get our panels. Then they fail inspection took weeks to get back out here to fix now once again sitting waiting on inspection. They are giving a time line of Feb or March before we will be able to use the service. Our payments start in December was told we would have 60 days to enjoy before payment started. My contract was signed on Oct.13th.2019. The Panels were installed on Oct,21th 2019. Detroit ****** rejected the installation because a 7.6 kw Inverter was installed instead of the allowed 3.8 kw. The inverter was changed on Jan 22nd 2020. Because of the problem DTE didn't put the system in service until April 20th 2020. My ** Battery's software was up dated in July 2021 and something went wrong and my battery doesn't work since than. I worked for Powerhome Solar from June 2021 to August 2021. I was told in my interview I would make 3% off every deal I got and was told I should make 6 figures easily. I went through training and got paid $500 for 1 week of training. I get out into the field to start selling and as I started selling (signed ***************** loan documents) that wasn't enough to get paid. Don't trust their salespeople! They will tell you solar is the right choice, but it isn't necessarily true. They promised I'd be completely off the grid with my $75,000 system. I'm nowhere near that. My monthly electric bills have been cut in 50% (great), but my solar panel loan is $300/month (terrible)!I would appreciate a call from them to understand why their projections were so far off the reality.
The biggest scam you could be fleeced about. I would recommend staying away from solar. Especially from this company. Their salesmen lie about every little thing they can. They make it look like you'll "own" your own power. At an extremely high price no less!!! It didn't reduce our cost at all. It merely doubled it. STAY AWAY if you'd like to keep your wallet and money in your pocket.
Misleading sales pitch, highly disappointed in our purchase with Powerhome. Home is still damaged by their untrained techs. ****************** is completely clueless as to what comes next in the process, and who does what.My system still not working after countless attempts to get them to come out and fix. We had a salesman come to our home to explain solar panels. He was very arrogant and basically told me that if I don't get the $80,000 panels, I must have misunderstood him. He became very pushy and downright rude when I told them we would not be signing up for panels today. I asked for information so that I could research; he did not want to give us the time to look into it. This company has poor customer service. Hard to get answers to basic questions. Our system was installed in April of 2021. It is now November 2021 and we are still trying to get them to do all the work that needs to be done to get approval from the county.
