Over promised and under delivered. It off most of the time.Do not buy. In my humble opinion it is a scam.
Please do NOT do business with this company. When I tell you, we have had nothing but a headache from this company, that is being polite. Solars were installed 7/2020 During initial installation, the guy who came out broke my sky light in my bedroom. The gentleman put up a plastic bag over it to stop the elements. It took 5 months (I live in ********) for the company to finally agree to replace the window. Never was given an apology for having to do through the winter, with a bag over a window. Awful company. Like many others, we were overpromised products and customer service and they didnt deliver. The install went fine, although they didnt seal 2 holes in the roof properly and an inspector had to fix it. Several phone calls and rescheduling. Part of their included energy saving package was blown in insulation to meet NC standards. I have had mixed experiences with PowerHome Solar. The crew that completed my repair on 3/30/22 were great! With that being said, the past almost 2 years we have had some horrible experiences with this company! They are over priced and we are way under serviced. The system was not correctly installed for the first 7 months. We made multiple contacts and never get the same representative. I had to contact my lender to get any action. If I could give negative stars, I would. Worst financial decision I have ever been tricked into. We got our panels early 2019. The installation went fine. Salesperson didnt know that we were signing a contract that would force us to pay $175 interest only payments for 18 months (he admitted it and claimed he felt like c*** for s******* people over). The installers were very nice and did a good job. The problem is when they did not have the right blueprints for the building inspector. It took them more than a month to send them. Then when the system went online my battery backup system went down. It took me around 12 calls over a month and lots of yelling to get the system back up and running.

Company seems to be losing control of their own growth. They were quick to install but the installers made a few mistakes that caused failed inspections. So PowerHome had to come back out twice to correct their errors. Not a big deal but it did delay the project a month. Then they failed to follow up with our utility company about turning on our system after it passed inspection. I used PowerHome Solar to roof my home in Concord in 2015. The representative who initially looked at the roof was helpful in getting me qualified for my ******************** to cover the cost. When they ordered my custom architectural shingles, the wrong shingles were delivered two weeks later; that should have been an omen. They had 3 roofs to complete, shingles on the old part of my **** home, metal roofing on the 700 SF addition and a **** seal over the flat front porch roof.
