Worst customer service ever. When sales man arrived he asked what it was I wanted out of solar. I told him I had heard that *********** had a buy back program and that I would like to produce enough power to have the buy back program pay for energy and solar panels. He looked it up and stated that they do a buy back and have net metering. He stated that I would need the batteries due to the dark hours consuming any excess power I produced during days. 2ndhe stated that I was eligible for a $4000 dolar rebate from duke energy... read more

Avoid Powerhome Solar - My system was installed 10 months ago and has made no power, the full installation is not even complete as I have no meter installed. Had numerous conversations and emails with no resolutions.

It takes a very little g time to have full usage of your solar panels. Ours were installed the end of August 2021, it is now the end of January and we still are waiting. It is very hard to talk to anyone. They send you to the ******************** after you are on hold for one hour you are disconnected. They tell you to leave your number and they will call back. GOOD LUCK I will say the workers who come to the home are good. It is the behind the scenes office part that is very bad.

We purchased the services from this company only to have holes in our carport roof, trash in our yard that was left for us to clean, metal poles drilled into the concrete that were partially blocking access under my driveway, holes in our siding, wires rolled up and tossed in areas that are connected to god knows what, waited almost 4 months to even get turned on, several return visits from service techs that have required time away from work, new electric panel had 3 loose parts that caused lights to go on and off, during 4... read more

I would not purchase from this company .I have a solar panel system that does not work and was installed in mid 2021. They have been out to my house numerous times and still does not work . I am paying a solar payment and also a electric payment, I have not saved any money off my **** like they explained when they sold me the system . We had a snow storm today and we lost power and nothing on batteries worked . Im so tired of calling these people and not getting anywhere .I think this company is a scam.

This is an absolutely terrible company. They lie with their high pressure sales team and when you actually sign up they practically disappear. I nearly canceled my contract multiple times because I had lost trust in them to deliver what they promised. Unfortunately I didnt cancel it before they started install but during install I learned that the system would not do anything that I was told it would. So I refused to let them finish the install and now here I am over a month later and still have not had anyone come back out ... read more

It took a year for my system to become operational because they failed 3 inspections. The customer service is the worse I've ever experienced. A month after it went online the unit had a bad pv link, which powerhome and generac, the maker of the unit, knew about prior to my unit coming online. And to get it fixed it will take 3 1/2 weeks. Steer clear of this company

I have called multiple times and left multiple messages with no response at all. This seems to be the theme with this company when trying to get support. However you can get someone on the phone or get a call back immediately when you're looking to purchase a new system. How ironic is that. My electric company came out and changed the meter out which I was told by you Powerhome solar that this would be the final step in getting my system activated and fully up and running after 4 months now of waiting. They where great during the process of getting the solar panels. now that we have them they do not want to help me with my issues. Knowing what I know now I would go with another company. now I am making monthly payments on a system that only 2/3rds work. I have called about this issue as well as other issues. the last call I was on hold for 15 minutes and never spoke to a soul. I left a call back number and haven't received a call back.
