They kept my deposit after the winter storm in Houston plus add more fees due to the house being damage by the storm not us !
Awful company. We moved in and the house was completely trashed. Black mold in our kids' bathroom and they took forever to address it and initially said it was our responsibility! Two broken sinks, broken dishwasher, leaking roof, broken rain gutters, disgusting and dirty appliances and ZERO help or communication. Now after 1 year they're raising rent by $500!!!!!!! Crooks.
Pathlight does not care about their tenants. They rejected a proposal by the plumbing co to get the water heater fixed. It's the beginning of 30° weather and we were without hot water for 3 days. They clearly were not planning to do much about it since they only sent one company out to look at it. If they had wanted multiple quotes then they should've had multiple heating/plumbing companies out to look. This program was advertised to me as the go-to program for Executives who relocate often due to work. I found it interesting as it was only $100 to sign up. Plus this could be a good solution for my future because I believe my company will move me around, often. Home search process was easy and painless. The real problems started the moment I received the keys. Prior to move-in, it was agreed that the carpet will be replaced and all the walls will be painted. I'd give a no star review if I could. I read reviews on this place before moving in, but decided to take the chance anyway because the market is not in a good place, and I figured it was just disgruntled people who didn't get their deposits back...I WAS WAY WRONG! 3 days after move-in, I submit a ticket for a rotten shower floor in the master shower. I got my keys and moved in, just be told I have to move out because the inspection wasn't done. So I have to take off work to find a place for me, my things and dog to live.
This company is extremely predatory and does not value it's tenants. Getting repairs done was like pulling teeth, communication is horrible, and they will try as hard as they can to eat up your security deposit. We had gotten a new fridge so we moved the one that came with the house in the garage. When moving out, we left it in the garage in working condition (just as the contract stated) and then they charged us $1500 for the fridgidare refrigerator. Do not do business with this company. When we moved in we had numerous problems including broken toilets, severe leaks that damaged the ceiling and carpet in our basement and a terrible mold problem. It took Pathlight several months to fix this mold issue which we were at risk of becoming ill. Now, upon moving out they are wrongfully charging us for a large amount and they have done little to help us. I have only lived in this Pathlight property (which I pay $2730.00 per month for) for just over 30 day and am already having a ridiculous amount of issues. Electrical in center island doesn't work, dishwasher wouldn't drain water (took 4 weeks for them to fix) - there was standing, stinky, disgusting water sitting in the dishwasher until they finally fixed it.
