Does a great job cleaning debris from a pool So far, so good. I've had this pool cleaner for a month and have used it half a dozen times. It works great on both bottom and sides of our rectangle shaped in ground pool. It struggles a little on climbing shallow steps but still pretty much gets the job done. No hang ups with the cable; it floats nicely and doesn't kink or twist. Quite impressive Used this to replace a $900 Maytonics Triton PS that was always mediocre, missed corners and had to be run several times back to back to more or less keep the pool clean (with a pool company coming every other week to deep clean and do chemicals). Great vacuum Vacuum is very good. It cleaned my pool perfectly. One thing I wish it had was more accurate cleaning. It seems to hit the same spots multiple times and missing other spots all together.
A nearly perfect unit, worth the price of investment!! I ordered this to replace an old Polaris pool cleaner that had finally broken down and needed hundreds of dollars of repair parts. My old pool cleaner operated off of an extra pump that we have installed. Good quick pool cleaning machine but a bit heavy to lift from the pool The Polaris 9550 pool cleaner does an excellent job cleaning the bottom and walls of a pool. It is better than other pool cleaners used in the past collecting leaves, dirt and even dog hairs from the bottom of the pool. I really like its ability to climb the walls of the pool. Instructions state to not leave it in the pool over night. I set the timer for 1 hour 45 minutes and the job is done. When finished the 9550 has to be lifted from the pool. It will ... read more
Awesome product I hesitated to get the expensive product. I've been using a Dolphin for years. After about 5 years, some parts start to break down and need replacing. Or the pool just doesn't get cleaned enough after 2-3 hours. The Polaris is such a better quality product. It comes with a cart which makes pulling it close to the pool very convenient. Good Unit Mine lasted exactly 2 years, but I left it in the pool 24/7 and ran it every day. I believe it would have lasted a lot longer if I followed the instructions and removed it daily. I'm ordering another one because the performance of this unit is excellent. 4-stars because the cable does get tangled from time to time.
Last only 1 pool season I live in Vegas, lots of wind and dust storms that end up in my pool. Purchased Feb 2020, in Oct 2020 closed pool for winter. Used the robot 1x a week. Come March 2021 robot gave error 10. After multiple emails that went unanswered from manufacture i reached out to Leslie pool supply bright it in for repair.Due to pandemic shortages, i didn’t get it back to 4th off July weekend.
