Problems I had the original pump that came with our house (same brand that worked at least 12 years) replaced in 2016 by a local pool company (>$500). Rubbish product and/or seller!!! The pump blew up within the first 3 weeks. Though my understanding is that it will be replaced (hopefully), the warranty people said the pump itself must have been sitting in a warehouse a long time as the warranty period had expired.

DIY Homeowners Beware I installed this motor/pump assembly in August 2017. It ran fine until just a few days ago. I called Zodiac and because I installed the motor myself, and I’m not a licensed electrician, my warranty is voided. Regardless that the motor ran for 10 months, I have no warranty. So, homeowners who DIY, buyer beware.

( Very disappointed. My previous Polaris pool pump lasted over 10 ... I bought this pump 3 years ago and the front bearing of the motor is screaming loud! I took the motor apart. There is no way to replace the front bearing with a puller so it's a throw away. :( Very disappointed. My previous Polaris pool pump lasted over 10 years!!!!

Buyer beware Pump didn’t work on arrival. Had broken endcap, This is a 32lb motor and Amazon used a single bit of paper to pack it. Replacement pump ran for a few seconds before quitting. No support from store or manufacturer. Didn’t return emails, messages or voice calls. Support phone line says to call during business hours - but call was at 2 pm. Warranty is voided if self-install. Finally got tech support on the phone just to tell me that warranty is voided because I don’t have an electrician license. Also could not help... read more

I had the new one installed and it worked fine but was much louder then the Polaris pump Bought this pump in the summer of 2016 after my Polaris pump stop working after 8 years. Never last more than a year and a half Have been through 4 of these in six years, not one has lasted more than a year and a half. Stay away from these!

DO NOT buy pool equipment on Amazon After two months the pump was playing up. Amazon washed their hands of any responsibility and i had to call manufacturer direct. They directed me to a local pool company to come out and check. The local pool company charged me call out fee of 125 dollars and said they could not find anything wrong. DO NOT buy pool equipment in Amazon the savings are really not worth the hassle if something goes wrong.
