Worked great for 3 days Worked great for 3 days. I let it run over night once and the next morning the pump was making a terrible noise and the discharge was way less than it should have been.
Cracked and leaking the first time it is used This item is cracked/broken and leaking at the connection point the first time that I have turned it on to use it. I have to find out how to get it replaced from Amazon but so far I am having no luck.
Doesn't last long I bought this pump in August 2012 and just died on me in July of 2015. It started to get noisier and I noticed when it would shut off it would make a faint whining noise. Then the pump began to cycle on and off. On for about 2 minutes then off for about 1 minute and so on and so forth. I had an electrician check the wiring. ... this Polaris pump and the install was quick and easy. In my opinion it is not any quieter ... I replaced a Pentair LA01N pump with this Polaris pump and the install was quick and easy. In my opinion it is not any quieter than the Pentair but it gets the job done. I had to cut my existing plumbing to remove the old pump so I used the flexible hose that came with this pump.
One Star Product was defective. Called and ordered a replacement and second product was also nonfunctioning.

Lasted less than 6 months. I purchased this new pump/motor on January 17th, 2015 from Zodiac. The motor froze on June 29th, 2015, less than 6 months later. I need to get a replacement motor and pump now.
Working good! Booster pump was delivered to me yesterday and I just installed it today. Local pool company estimated installation as $150 so I decided to do it by myself. I'm not a big tech guy, just with small repair experience but I was able to do it. It took me about 3 hours to do entire installation. Way more than 1 hour - what average ppl are writing.
