The evening started with a terrible first impression with the woman greeting guests. When we entered the restaurant my guest suddenly sneezed twice back to back and the older hostess looked at her with completely disdain. She literally did not say a word to us then marched off for us to follow. Sea bass was excellent. The rest of our meal was average; not really worth the price.
Waited approximately 25 mins to be greeted by our server, manager introduced herself and took drink order. Sat next to an unbiased table for half an hour, no check back, waited long time for box, waited for check…. Meatball was hard, for waygu expected tender, and almost flavorless. Our server was great but they were understaffed and we waited for 45 minutes for a drink. We were not happy with the overall experience and waiting was ridiculous/ the server was fantastic just over worked
Expect service to be slow. Food is ok-steak and fries were the best tasting out of what we ordered. Service needs work.
Lobster mac and cheese was horrible! Absolutely no flavor very poor quality.
We both had fillet mignon and were disappointed in it because of the salt content apparently they were both salt crusted which ruined the exterior of the meat, I would recommend they stop preparing the meat in that manner or at least ask the customer if that is okay to do. I feel a great cut of beef doesn’t need all of that salt. We enjoyed the other sides and appetizers.
I don’t think it was worth the money. I don’t believe that we should have to pay for a side with our dinner.
The $50 for 50+ on Thursday night was a poor choice. The 2 guests we brought with us opted for the steak dinner. The small portions were embarrassing. Due to what appeared to be understaffing our dinner took 2 hours, although our waitress was very accommodating and friendly. Kelly was the most positive part of our dining experience. This was not our first visit to Portico but it will be our last.
