The last two times were disappointing. First time the onions in the French onion soup were raw and the second time the soup wasn’t hot enough to melt the cheese and the bread in the soup was burned. Along with the cold soup the steak was VERY salty The steaks are most always great and dinners come out in a reasonable time. Last time it was 40 minutes till the dinner came out. We have been to Portico several times and have enjoyed our experience. However, this time it was far from enjoyable. First, the hostess who seated us was not very personable. When we were seated our server took our orders. We ordered some appetizers and were greatly disappointed. The Feta and Watermelon salad had to be sent back as it did not have feta on it. What's the worst dinner we've ever had. Are veal parmesan on the bone or served raw They brought it back to the kitchen And it still came out raw We asked for the manager he said he would take it off but it was a small price to pay for the terrible terrible time we had finally after crying he took everything off the bill I should not have had to cry to have everything compensated we come a long way to go to this restaurant. Prime rib was so fatty it wasn’t edible. Very overpriced for the food quality.
They serve a event menu. Which means the choices are limited. If you are a vegetarian you can have a small salad or sea bass. Seeing there is a show every Friday and Saturday this there menu on weekends. At least you can get a table easy enough the place was empty.
The food had so much salt on it I could not even eat my meal.
Always have dinner there and always order the same thing…twin lobster tails and filet mignon for me. Ordered my filet medium rare and it was well done (not even a little pink in the center). First time that happened to me. Wife’s lobster tails were perfect as usual. Mr. Ernest Orlando
I arrived at 6:45 and needed to leave by 8:00. Sitting at the bar, I ordered the onion soup which was very good and sea bass which I never got. At 7:40 I told the bartender I needed to leave for a meeting at 8. She frowned. I told her I would take it to go. She goes to the kitchen, comes back and says they are finishing it up. I left less than 5 minutes before 8 without the entree. Went for our anniversary and they completely ruined the night. Service was so bad we ended up taking food to go and it was garbage by the time it got back to the room. These people have no idea how to operate a business.
