As a chef myself, I was very disappointed with the quality of my meal. My veal chop was thin and overdone. The mushroom risotto was not Arborio rice and was distasteful and runny. Overall not happy with my meal at all. Overpriced for what I was served. Terrible! I will not be dining there again.
The steak was fine, but hugely overpriced. The wagyu meatball was fine, but a little dry. The scallops were rubbery and over-cooked. Overall, not worth the $200 price tag.
Horrible service from bartender who spent 85% of time socializing with staff and ignoring the 3 customers she had (including me) to the point that I had to call her multiple times to get food, drink, check. Never once did she come over to me to provide service or check on me without me calling her over.
This has always been our favorite restaurant prior Covid. We have had two bad experiences since it’s reopening. We went on 4/2/22. Ordered BLT Wedge $15, Fruti De Mer $60, Pasta and Sugo $8, Prime Rib evening Special $65, Two house wines $15 each and 1 cocktail $13. Prime Rib was very fatty for price but husband ate all. Food is always wrong fish is raw and rubbery steak is either over cooked or under. They don’t give steak knives unless you ask. Drinks take forever. Water is not poured for you. Every single time the food is a disgrace. Last meal with our group everyone’s meal was wrong. Sent back but still charged us full price. After discussing allergies they still served food that I was allergic too.
The restaurant was clean, but our fillet was very dry; and was cooked well done. We asked for medium well - very tough. We thought for the price, they should have cooled to our perfection.
The food was over priced drinks were also expensive.
Overpriced crap. Our waitress didn’t check in on us after we got food. Our plates were never taken away after we were finished. Had to seek out our waitress to request a bill when we had been finished eating for probably 30-40 minutes.
This was out 2nd visit and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We were excited to have an amazing birthday dinner with friends and talked up our first experience at Portico. Our party of 4 arrived 30 minutes before our reservation hoping to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, only to be told the bar was fully committed, however the hostess could seat us at our table right then.
