The restaurant is beautiful and it has an ambiance that would make you want to stay for a while, however, the food did not match the aforementioned. The Service: When we first arrived the attendant at the front told us it would be about a 5 minute wait for our table, as they were running right on time. Had dinner with a group of 10. We had dinner at three places in the area over the weekend 9/28 with friend and family from outside the area. As a group, this was our worst dinner for the weekend. Our serive was lousy and very slow. Our food was mediocre and our drinks were half filled. Appetizers was served in complete. The restaurant was pretty empty on Sunday night and service was horrible. Would not recommend.

I have been to Del Lago many times but this is my 1st time eating at Portico.. my husband & brother-in-law both ordered the Prime Rib which was the special and both of them were extremely disappointed. After we had ordered we overheard who I believe was the manager speaking with the next table over and apologizing to them for the not so good prime rib.. This would have been nice to know before we ordered.. I dont think I will be eating there in the future

Expensive, poor service, and food just was not good. Management was great when I talked him about our poor dining experience.

i ordered a prime strip steak. Their is no way this steak was prime. it was very chewy and stringy.

With reservations they seated us at a table near the bathroom. We asked for a booth & they said they could not accommodate us. Everything is ala carte, disappointing. After ordering we waited 1 hour to get our meal with no explanation. The food was mediocre.

The service was less than poor. The server forgot several items. Two of our guest has soup and both said it was room temp.

Upon making my reservation on OpenTable the reservation detailed that a special was available at the time of my reservation for discounted drinks and appetizers. This was one of the options chosen under specials listed on OpenTable. Upon receiving my check the savings we’re not reflected.I asked my server about it and she said that even though it said that there would be a discount on OpenTable that was not actually available. Our server was very unprofessional and disorganized. Our drink order was forgotten. The room was very loud which made it difficult to communicate. The food was not presented well. I had the salmon and is very salty . The lobster bisque was delicious!
