I've rented through several larger rental companies since moving to Florida in 2012 and Progress Residential is by far, THE WORST we've rented through... I've seen previous comments, and they're spot on... I laugh at any sort of refund of your deposit. We paid $380 for the carpets to be cleaned prior to moving out and they STILL charged us to have it done. They charged us for the screen that was broken and we asked them to replace; which they said no it was the tenant responsibility; however they charged US for it anyway....... read more

Worst management company ever! There is no way out of their lease early unless you are active military or being physically abused. You have to give 60 days notice even when your lease is up or they charge you exorbitant fees. Want to end the lease early, you have to pay 3 months rent. Want a 7 month least, 200.00 more per month. Want a month to month lease while you try to purchase a home, 300.00 per month additional. That Progress Residential has an A+ rating just shows how meaningless the BBB is in 2018. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PROGRESS RESIDENTIAL EVER!!! I am a current tenant, suffering from their tyrannical business practices. All current Progress Residential tenants need to start reporting this horrific corporation to government authorities. We have had the worst customer experience with Progress Residential. We have lived in the home in Huntersville, NC for almost 2 years. Approximately 6 months ago the house next to ours was bought by PR (Progress Residential) to a young women and 4 young children. Also to note, we have street parking in addition to our driveway. After a month, a man who was living in the rental, also owned by (PR), stormed to our front door demanding that we move our car so he could get his mail delivered. My husband and I rented a house from Progress Residential starting in 1/2017. In December 2017, when we had just signed our lease renewal for 2018, our HVAC broke. There were subzero temps in Indianapolis that month, and Progress didn't fix our HVAC for 3 weeks. Our two small children were freezing, as were we...with temps in the 40s in our house overnight despite two space heaters. We contacted Progress customer care over 10 times. Terrible!!! Where do I start? Electric and water unusually high. Finally prorated bill 17 days not 14. Claim $1400 in damages when the home was left in better shape than when rented. Mail box was broken before moving in. Got a threatening letter that they would fine me. Holding my deposit be because of said $1200 in damages. The pre inspector came to the home asked me to paint. Clean floors and MULCH!! There wasn’t any mulch prior to move in but I did all those things anyway. Yet still didn’t pass inspection. Best part. The... read more

My experience has been horrible. My house was not inspected prior to me moving in. 2 months in I find out the house has termites as they ate through the wood and are all throughout the house. I have mold in my stand up shower, my heat does not work in 2 rooms, my toilet is sitting on a brick, I had to have a plumber come out to be able to have my washer and dryer hooked up, I have a hole in the wall where a wall unit was put up unstable in my bathroom, my carpet is really dirty, my range had dead bugs in it, my garage has sp... read more

This is the worst company I have even delt with. I view this house in Douglasville, Ga I ended up renting the home. Within a week I got a email from HOA regarding weeds in the yard What? I told them those weeds were there before I rented the house why didn't they violate the company I called the lady I was dealing with from the company she was very nice and tried to be helpful. BEWARE of Progress Residential!!! This is the worst rental company ever!! They are charging me for a full months rent for more than my monthly rent was. The home owners association charged me almost every month during my second year lease but it was billed through progress residential and would not allow you to pay rent without paying for a bogus home owners association fee so if you wanted to dispute it your rent would be late as well, CAN YOU SPOT THE SCAM!
