I am a new tenant with Progress Residential (Less than a month) and it is already a nightmare. I was a lease takeover where they allowed the previous tenant to leave a balance and notify me 15 days after I moved in that there was a balance due on the account. I have lived in the home for almost a year and it seems like there is always something going wrong with this house. It absolutely floors me that this company does not have an emergency service on the weekend. The AC started blowing hot air and I placed a work order online on Saturday afternoon. The temp quickly reached 87 in the house and I called the office to see if someone can be sent out here since I have two children and a pet. When I called the rep told me they can escalate but no one would call me for atleast two days... read more

SO. At the end of two years of renting a property through Progress Residential, I leave my final review. Sadly, it is a stinky one. I won’t go into too much detail (as my attorney has cautioned me about that with a pending suit), but suffice it to say that this particular office most likely is one of the better ones, but as a whole, the company is 100% an investor-driven bottom-line focused corporation with little to no regard to an individual’s satisfaction. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They will keep your BIG security deposit no matter how nice & clean you leave the home. Never fix any issues that arise. Then after paying rent for a whole year ON TIME or before 1st of the month, they increase your rent for new lease like ours almost $100 per month.

I've rented through several larger rental companies since moving to Florida in 2012 and Progress Residential is by far, THE WORST we've rented through... I've seen previous comments, and they're spot on... I laugh at any sort of refund of your deposit. We paid $380 for the carpets to be cleaned prior to moving out and they STILL charged us to have it done. They charged us for the screen that was broken and we asked them to replace; which they said no it was the tenant responsibility; however they charged US for it anyway....... read more

Progress are is not a good Company to rent from, the tech repair people do not fix any thing correctly they came out 3 times and never fixed the fireplace,the upstairs bathroom leaked, they came out 2 times and it still leaked so the kitchen cilling began to smell like URINE. The House have a mildew smell that was making me sick. So did not renew my lease. I paid $1,549 for security deposit when I moved out the house was clean and nothing was broken. Worst management company ever! There is no way out of their lease early unless you are active military or being physically abused. You have to give 60 days notice even when your lease is up or they charge you exorbitant fees. Want to end the lease early, you have to pay 3 months rent. Want a 7 month least, 200.00 more per month. Want a month to month lease while you try to purchase a home, 300.00 per month additional. We have had the worst customer experience with Progress Residential. We have lived in the home in Huntersville, NC for almost 2 years. Approximately 6 months ago the house next to ours was bought by PR (Progress Residential) to a young women and 4 young children. Also to note, we have street parking in addition to our driveway. After a month, a man who was living in the rental, also owned by (PR), stormed to our front door demanding that we move our car so he could get his mail delivered. That Progress Residential has an A+ rating just shows how meaningless the BBB is in 2018. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PROGRESS RESIDENTIAL EVER!!! I am a current tenant, suffering from their tyrannical business practices. All current Progress Residential tenants need to start reporting this horrific corporation to government authorities.
