I applied on 12/21 and was forced to pay a $250 holding fee with the application. I was rejected a few days later so I began waiting for my refund of the holding fee which, per their company site, will be delivered within 30 days. Today is 1/21 and I didnt get my refund (I assumed it would be to my card since they took the money from there in 30 seconds). Apparently they mail you a check as a refund which is a dumb policy. BEWARE!I applied twice within 5 weeks with this company. The 2nd time bc I was denied the 1st time bc of a false charge on my credit that was removed. The 2nd time they approved me with "conditions". I'm self employed. I had a 6 figure Verifiable income at that time. My credit score was 710. Good rental history. Yet the "condition" was that in order for me to be able to lease I was Required to have 12 months Worth of RENT in my bank account!! WHAT!? This company tried to keep our refund. They denied us for home and asked us to wait their 30 days for a $250 refund, which we did. When the money never showed up we called to ask them. For some reason the refund was never processed, which "***" stated could have been our fault. **************** rule number one, the customer is always right. Progress Residential is nice and friendly on the front end, but once you get into their home everything changes. I have complained to them about the irrigation problem that the hired mowing companies have refused to do because of the bad condition of the yard during the summer after it rains. It takes at least a week or more for the yard to dry. There is also mold in the master bathroom wall that they tried to blame us for not cleaning. The house rented by Progress rental in ************* has resulted in a five-hour police presence on New Year's Eve due to the gunfire and teenage kids flooding the street. The house is not being maintained and the tenants have a dog that barks between 1 and 3 in the morning. When Progress is called, they state this is an issue for the hoa. All they care about is the rent they receive and nothing about the welfare or property values for the neighborhood .
My son has had a horrible experience with representatives for this company located at ********************************************************. I saw RED FLAGS in the beginning of his renter process; however, I sat back to allow my 24 year old handle his first home rental. A representative from this branch told my son he had to sign his lease even though he was unable to get into the home to see it prior to renting it. Just Horrible!! I am a current renter through Progressive Residential. They recently bought out the company whom I originally rented from, Havenbrook Homes. I have been trying for weeks to call and speak to a human. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! In the 11 times I've called, I was only able to speak to a person twice. And of course, they told me they would transfer me to someone else. Every single time you call, it takes at least an hour for someone to answer. They will not tell me why my application was denied. They said it was a decision of the 3rd party crediting company and forwarded me to them. Once the 3rd party company answered they said they have no authority to deny an application and all they do is provide credit information to progress residential. I called back again and we were told the same c*** lie about them not making the denial decision and blaming the 3rd party company for it. Please do not do business with these people! Progress Residential is an absolute poor rental company and I would encourage people to think twice before you consider renting from this company. They are very unprofessional, lack customer service, lie to their tenants and more concerned about getting money vs clients needs. Terrible rental/property management company.
