absolute worst rental company. their communication is god awful if you can get someone to answer the phone you're lucky. got approved and were supposed to move in 3 weeks later but heard nothing. called them a week before move in to be told our move in date got changed. thank you for not giving us a notice had we not called where would we have went? what an awful experience avoid at all cost these people do not care about you. This company is horrible. We are trying to move and found a property. We submitted the applications and even paid 250 + convenience fee to hold the property so then if approved we can move forward.Well they definitely approved us but we had to pay two months rent as a security deposit plus additional fees which we didnt have what that was. After reviewing the fees it would cost us just over ******* to secure the property. This company needs to be shutdown immediately before they get someone hurt. I paid them a holding fee for one of their properties and didn't get a response from them about the status of my application which was about a month later. I called to cancel my reservation and get a refund and they told me that the reservation would be cancelled but refused to send or provide proof of that cancellation or proof that my money would be returned to me. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I applied for a home and decided that I didn't want to live in that location. I called to cancel the application and was told I would be reimbursed for my $250 holding fee. They said, ridiculously enough, that it would take up to a month to return to me. After a month, I checked on the status of my refund. Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with! I work in real estate and let me tell you these people are scam artists. Good luck getting a phone call or an email other than when they feel it is convenient. Refused to sign the lease until I get a call regarding the move in fee, never heard a thing. We've been with Progress residential since 2017. This is a horrible company to rent with. Too big... I can go on and on about all the problems since 2017 but will keep it focused on the recent issue. My AC is having a major leak. I filled out a ticket on Monday and they call and schedule for Wednesday to fix. I attempted to rent a home thru progressive. However, I was denied. After completing the application process I noticed my bank account was charged twice. I reached out them via phone to advise of the charges and I was told they needed a copy of my bank statement. I sent a copy of my bank statement via email as well as sent screenshots of 2 $350 charges. What do I get from the company radio silence. My ********* applied for a house via the site. We received an email stating that both our credit scores & criminal backgrounds were approved. Our monthly income is well over the requirements of 3x the amount of the rent which is $1795 a month. We received an email stating we are denied due to not meeting the requirements. No further explanation. I am left to assume it is because we are Black. This is very unprofessional and misleading.
My situation is a little different than most on here, as I do not rent from Progress, but a Progress rental property is next door to my property.
