If you want a simple label, you have to work real hard to figure out how to do it Whoever designed this should be fired. It's the most user unfriendly device I have ever owned. I thought of putting it on the concrete and taking my sledge hammer to it. The instructions are a complete joke and there are no Youtube videos to help you - and I've done CADD, complex software and more for 20 years. It's designed for someone who already knows how to use it. It's the opposite of simplicity.

Display too dim to read This labeler is a nice size but I have to use a magnifying glass to read the display - it is so dark - tried the adjustment to a +2 and there is no change. Will return unless someone can help me solve this problem.

NO A/C Adapater or Batteries included Well I would love to start using my Brother Label-maker, but the good CEO's at Brother have found it too cost ineffective to include SIX AAA batteries or an inexpensive A/C adapter. Absolutely ridiculous. Now I have to look around for a 9 volt A/C adapter instead of print out labels.

Absolute junk designed to waste your money Wow, what a money waster. 6 AAA batteries and it eats them like candy. No matter what settings you set, it prints a 1.5 inch margin on the left side of your label, wasting tape on every print. Don't waste your money on this machine. Mine is going back for a refund.

Only retains label memory when plugged in or on batteries. It prints nice labels, but if you are considering buying a fancier model so it will "remember" more labels, be advised removing batteries or the AC adapter will blank the memory. Brother makes fairly good equipment, the printing is sharp and clear. Their marketing department must be stupid, though. They decided they would make their money on the label tapes, so they designed it to default to "maximum waste" settings on power-up. Their theory being, the faster the use... read more

Do not buy This sale does not say in the headlines that you must purchase the power supply separately. In addition, no standard 9v adapters will work with this (negative tip or not). You MUST buy the power adapter to use it. This should already be included. Period. If not, it should be in the headline of the Amazon sale and all throughout the body of the sale page. This item will not function without the separate purchase of the Brother branded adapter.
