Does not work Tried to use 3 different types of batteries because i thought it was a battery issue. The product is not functional.
Frustrating Machine!! I cannot begin to express exactly how frustrating this machine is! I've had it for months, and still do not know how to set the type size/style to what I want and to keep it at my selections! I am STILL grabbing the instruction book every time I want to do anything with the machine, and often just give up figuring out the instructions. (P.S. I am not illiterate!)
Wastes more tape than it uses. Print quality and range of print options is nice, albeit the menus are difficult to navigate. But any positive that this machine has is offset by the fact that it is extremely wasteful. Even with margins set low or in chain print mode you waste more label tape than you use. I keep hoping it will fail so I can buy a different one that isn't so expensive to operate.
Repackaged returned product The product is fine, but no place was it described as a returned and repackaged product. I expected new in factory packaging, but shoddily repackaged and slightly worn.
Total Con Job. Make Sure You Spend The Extra Money Up Front - It's not $15 bucks - it's $30 The top review on Amazon right now hits the nail on the head. You have to buy the adapter separate and then buy more tape immediately. It's a scam. Just charge me the full amount up front - then at least I won't feel conned. The marketing and sales team at Brother that thought this up can go jump in a lake.
Take time to figure it out Upon purchase, the machine had settings that forced all labels to print at a specific size, so words came out at different font sizes. I also regularly got an error message that the text was "too long." I finally realized I could change the margins to have less waste, change the size of the label to "auto" so it would print the full word at the appropriate size, and I am much happier with it now. I am still annoyed I had to purchase a cord separately, but I am glad I've got it working at least.

Jammed cartridge The label maker jammed on my first use and the cartridge could not be salvaged.
