Pulled Credit WITHOUT Consent!!!. Pulled Credit WITHOUT Consent!!! I applied via Credit Karma (CK) because they stated there would be NO Pull. Applied, it stated we were approved conditionally, and to await for customer service call. Within an hour, we received a call to complete application process and to speak with a financial officer about rates and payment options we could choose from. A total waste of time Applied as their rates looked good, received 1 call from a loan officer that I wasn’t able to get. Called back 2 mins later and left a message. Made multiple phone calls and never received a reply back. When I called customer service, it sounded like I was talking to someone working in their basement. Scary that this company has my social and has no follow up. Read the negative reviews, they’re legit!
Lots of Screw-Ups RateGenius got me a great rate on a refinance, but told me I would get another 25 bp discount if I was to sign up for direct deposit or auto pay - I would just need to arrange that with the credit union once the loan was funded. Well the RateGenius loan officer read the rate sheet incorrectly, because this had to be set up during the loan process, not after the loan was funded. Not a good offer Rates were marginally lower than what I already had, when I pointed this out the rep flatly closed out my case
Okay process The company was quick to get you signed up but fell short with following up on the loan process. Once my paperwork was submitted, I heard nothing from the company. I had to do my own following up on the loan process. I felt like I was just left hanging after they secured my business.
Auto refinance loan Took entirely too long to the point interest was still adding up on loan that had to be paid off which RateGenius never acknowlonged nor told me so I ended up getting a late payment on my credit report. Ended up having to have a supervisor help out with the transaction because the original person helping out was too busy to answer emails or questions about the loan. No followup and closed the App no notice I applied based on Credit Karma recomendation. After getting a hard inquiry on my credit report, I got no followup or phone call from them, few days later got an email saying Sorry to see you go. I will not recomend them. Now I have a hard inquiry for a useless time wasted credit app that didn't provide any information or service as they promise.
We had such a hard time with customer service and communication. They hardly ever responded to our questions. It delayed our loan. They seemed to busy to bother with us
No good communication. Took 60 days.. Horrible communication. People give wrong answers. Loan officer never sanswrrwd until weeks later.
