The process was fairly easy.. They use a lot of little unknown banks, which isn't a bad thing, but with small banks, most of the time, their websites are terrible. The bank that refinanced my loan is across the country, and their website is archaic which is something you won't have to deal with using a well known and established bank.
It's not as low as I thought it would be It's a little better than what I had as for interest rate. Thanks Chris Dayton
Great Its gets done quick
Less paperwork for lower rates Credit Karma presents me with offers from time to time. I noticed one offer said that I could save thousands on my auto loan by going with Rate Genuis. I did a quick application and within a week, I received an offer for rate almost half my current rate. Although the savings will only be about $1,400, it was worth it because I got gap coverage and reduced my monthly payments by nearly 10%--while still saving over the long term. And I can still pay my loan off at any time without penalty.
Awful experience They misquoted my APR and didn't discover it until after I had submitted all of my paperwork (including notarized forms). Then they said that I wouldn't have to do the paperwork a second time, but I did have to go through everything again. They didn't do anything to try to live up to what they originally quoted or make things easier when they messed up. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Read the fine print!. Read the loan agreement and fine print! I did but was still disappointed when the quote was basically double what Credit Karma quoted me. Wish the application was adjustable as I have more than one job. Customer service was okay, nothing to set them apart. Did not fight for my business. Not a bad review, but not a good one either.
I wish I could give zero rating to RateGenius. These guys are very very unprofessional,applied for my car refinance recently and on the very first day they checked my credit score (which is 810+) one of the sales person told "Alreday my loan is underwritten" and sent APR and premium info,as well as sent some documents to notarized and sign it. I did everything and followed up with them for 1+ month without any response. Couple of days back same sales person contacted to "unfreeze" my credit so that the lender will check agai... read more
