Bad Waste of time. Promises were made that were not kept. Customer service was extremely poor.
They lied to me about the interest rate The play the old switch and bait with its customers. After you apply for the rate advertised they say sorry that rate isn't available in your state.
Nothing Genius about Rate Genius They do NOT double check the information they enter in for the Fiance Instuitions, a simply process that should have been done in days, took weeks! The Managers/Supervisors are rude. I will NOT be recommending rate genius to anyone.
Easy to obtain but had catches The loan process was going smoothly. Rate genuis was very helpful. The lender at the last minute changed the terms because they said my backup wasn't sufficient for a small amount per month of income <300. This caused me a 2 point interest rate difference which sucked. Wasn't rate genius' fault though. They were good througout the process.
Took some time, but ended well My paperwork was sent to me three different times because of typos, but customer service was super nice and quick to fix them each time. We were pleased overall with this service and got a great new rate on my car loan. We would use them again, if needed!

DO NOT USE I was approved for my refi. Then my interest rate jumped. Then the paperwork I sent in was lost. Then their "system" failed. I had three (3) personal representatives. My original paperwork was lost: only part of the electronic documents I uploaded were received in a single PDF file. Although Rate Genius admitted that their system crashed and was down for several days, I was blamed for sending an incomplete PDF. That was odd as my first 'personal' rep said it was their fault. BIGGEST REGRET Used them to get a cheaper car payment, finalized everything so we'd end up saving $130 a month, but then they told us we had to have a special kind of insurance so our insurance went up $160 so now we're paying even more. Waste of time. Losing more money. Don't trust this company.
Not as Promised Do not have apply with this Company. They said they could cut my interest rate in half and lower my truck payment by $30 a month. I have a credit score of around 840 with Equifax and Transunion, I was approved for this loan as i figured i would be. The total savings was 3 dollars a month, not anywhere as advertized. Stay Clear of this Company.
