Unclear terms; unauthorized credit check I was directed to Rategenius via CreditKarma and I filled out the preliminary application; however, they put a hard inquiry on my credit; even though i did not provide them with my social security number; and the option to provide my SSN was optional on the application which i did not fill out; terms were not clear and they got access to my SSN through CreditKarma and did credit inquiry without my consent; and after all these headache with my excellent credit history i got lower inter... read more
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE; DO NOT APPLY!!. Great credit = No loan I have great credit 756 and it took over a month to receive anything about my application. Got a letter stating my credit was good but they couldn't find a lender Wow really??? I'm Never late on anything!! Someone didn't try very hard.
LOWER MY RATE.. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT WAS A PROBLEM WAS THE FACT THAT BOTH LOANS WERE ON MY CREDIT REPORT EVEN BEFORE THE OLD LOAN WAS PAID.
Loan process was back & forth, saved $$ The loan process was drawn out because I had to continously request changes and confirmation on why things were in the loan documents but overall the process was fairly simple, I just chose to scrutinize the loan to make sure I knew what I was getting. Overall it was worth is as I got a good interest rate which saved me money.

Absolutely underhanded practices Do not use this company!!! Especially Leah Baize and Kristin Chambers. I was several thousand ahead on my loan. I didn't realize they added on unneeded gap coverage on to my loan. When I realized it I found out they also use a company that you cannot get a refund after 60 days. I have never dealt with a gap coverage that you were not entitled to any sort of a even a partial refund after 60 days.
