The loan was funded OK with a lower rate than I had. The company promises a $50 bonus if you recommend someone who gets a funded loan through RateGenius. I recommended two loans that were funded and never recieved the money they promised. I wrote and called several times with no response from them. Cannot recommend a company that doesn't keep their word!

It worked out in the end.. Had some bumps in the road and it was kind of a pain. We had to get the paperwork redone because of a mistake (thank goodness it was before we saw the notary!) and we even received paperwork that wasn't for us and had personal information for someone else. We ended up with a great rate in the end, but it was more of a hassle than I would have liked and it made me concerned for my personal information.

They will run your credit without consent even if you don’t provide your social. I had 714 score at the time I applied and got declined even though credit karma kept nagging me to apply. There was no communication from them either, I had to call them to find that out.

Never got my referral fee I referred someone and they never sent either one of us the $50 referral fee. Spent hours on the phone and never got anywhere. Just gave up.

Getting loan was a nightmare!. The process was terrible the rate kept going higher and higher. We make over 300k a year. We live with our 96 year old mom, pay no rent and they wanted a notorized letter stating such. Not about to drag a 96 year old out for that. So for that the rate got jacked up a 1/4 point. I personally would not use this company again.

Can’t get a loan if the reps don’t call I tried to get a loan through them, they ran my credit (hard hit) which was 780&750-ish at the time, called me and said they were looking for a good refi rate, and never heard from them again. Complete waste of my time. When I called them again, they had no clue who I was and wanted to start the process all over again with a second hard inquiry....someone is not doing their job...

Horrible I applied for this on last Sunday and have been playing phone tag with the guy named Ryan. And i gave him my vin # on wednesday and haven’t heard from them in 5 days. Totally not how i want to refinance. NEXT

Rate Genius not clear about loan details Rate Genius is not clear about what you're signing up for. They often give your loan to banks that force you to pay fees and try to make it hard to pay the monthly payment on time. I talked with them about all of this before signing up and they assured me the lenders are all easy to pay with online and have no fees. That was wrong. Plan on paying fees of $5 additional transaction fees per month if you go with rate genius banks.
