Waste of time This was the top recomendation on Credit Carma however I wasn't approved for refinancing. They must be looking for people with prime credit. Why recomend this company?
They ignored me I waited 6 days for someone to reach out to me, and noone ever did. I emailed to check the status and they said "we found no lenders for you you'll get a letter in 30 days explaining why" Why did I have to reach out to them to get that information, and why did OpenRoad get me approved through Wells Fargo the very same day? Not Genius at all Not happy with the service I was provided.
Auto loan refinance I filled the application for getting a quote but realized that I actually applied for a loan. I immediately called customer service and asked them to cancel as I did know it would apply for a loan. The customer service rep said he canceled the application and they will not process it. However they still went ahead and processed and approved the loan that too with a higher interest rate than what I already had.
Padded Monthly Payments!!. Stated there were no fees. Monthly payment amounts were inflated. Refused to send an amortization schedule or a Truth in Lending Disclosure. When I insisted there was a large fee of some sort added, they said it was a "prepaid finance fee associated with my state". (If he is saying a fee paid to the state - this isn't a thing.) Got short with me because I insisted on email instead of over the phone for a paper trail and said I'd have to call because he couldn't answer all of my concerns via email. ... read more
Horrible experience!. I haven’t had a more difficult time trying to refinance my auto loan. I applied and got approved but when it came to the paperwork they continually kept asking for more documentation. I would send them the information and they would come back and ask for more documentation again and again. All the while I pushed back my current car payment under the assumption it would be paid in a timely manner, well it wasn’t. Very bad experience I applied with Rate genius and spend money in notary to refinance my car and the customer services Evelyn Rudisill, told me that everything is ok and just wait for the payment for the new loan, and I received a letter telling me that my loan was denied. It was a terrible frustration. I not recommend anybody to apply with rate genius they tell everything is ok and you get nothing
Turn away if you are non-resident They did not disclose the fact that they don't give loans to temp residents. If they had a question about residency on the application form I wouldn't have to spend extra time on the phone, which I am not super uncomfortable with. The agent is not nice, either.
Auto refinance Do not use this service. I decided not to use the loan I was approved for because I sold my truck. I called and informed rate genius and was told no problem. A week later I get an adverse credit letter.
