Not bad but there's better out there.. If you purchase GAP insurance through them make sure it actual GAP insuance read every single document and make sure you understand do not sign anything that says no GAP refund after 60 days. I refinanced my vehicle after 2 months of using rate genius. I ask for a pro rated refund on the GAP insurance I purchased through them which at the time they said it was through the lender they lied it wasnt it was through them and a third party. Not a Good Experience Well...the rep was nice. Get ready for several hard hits on your credit report. Not told that multiple financial institutions were going to run my credit. In my case, because I'm self employed, they wanted two years of tax documents (70+ pages) and Profit and Loss Statements. Quote, "The credit union just wants to make sure there are no liens on your income." I felt I was refinancing a home, not a car. They do like to push the GAP insurance. Terrible Experience Wow all these good reviews. This place is a sham. They try to sneak gap insurance in. Horrible customer service.
Terrible customer service!!. Submitted application no one ever called me. Had to call in to check on application only to find out I was not approved. They wouldn't even tell me why only that I had to wait for their letter which could take up to 30 days. Riduculous waste of time. I was currently approved for a home mortgage but they wouldn't approve me for an auto refinance with a 700+ credit score and high income?! Don't even waste your time.
They don't get the basic rights. They don't know the lendor requirements for processing the loan. My application was approved on the same day with good rate of interest. I got numerous calls/emails from customer service for filling the application and submitting the documents. After sending the documents in courier they inform through text message saying that lendor cannot process loan due to some policy. Absolute waste of time , money (notary charges) and lots of stress. 2 months later I applied to refinance in February and my loan was finally financed by rategenius in April after two more payments were due.
It was an easy no push experience.. I stay very busy. They helped me with reminders to get things done and waited for me to complete all the steps. It was a very good experience.
