they lower my rate to 4.5% from 11.89% and when they got done i had 49 payments left and they wanter 60 payments the loan was the same amount as i owe on my 11.9% loan and a year longer payments what a rip off place do not deal with these people RIP OFF PEOPLE
I expressed concerns to my loan consultant about undisclosed fees and stated I needed more than 48 hours to review the 20 page application. He responded with the follow:Your not seeing anything different than any of the other 3000 customers per month for the past 16 years. All 200 of us that work here have families to feed. All hype, expected more. disappointed It doesn't make sense to me,so I won't bad mouth them. Anyway, got refied from another more reputable lender at over 5 points lower! No one made any attempt to contact me or question my credit.
Horrible waste of time -- do not use They do a classic bait and switch -- they approved immediately but did not give anything in writing until I had invested several hours collecting and emailing all their requirements. They add numerous fees and unknown items and suddenly started calling the rate they had quoted as APR (I asked -- as I have a masters in finance and know the difference) just the base interest rate (which of course APR is higher). Fake I applied and received a call back in 2 days. When they tried to push a higher payment on me I said no as your website stated you can lower my payment and interest rate they said well we can't but this is a great deal. I said when you find me a "great deal" call me back. That was 2 weeks ago. No call back
Application process is too stressful The reason I rated them a 3 stars is because of the customer was great but all in all the application process was way too stressful just to refinance my car. My current APR is 9.59 and Rate Genus approved me with one of there lenders for 3.14 APR which I was excited about at the time. Incredibly awful application experience Ultimately it came down to rateGenius and Logix Federal Credit Union telling me, that although I qualified to refinance my car based on my credit score, the fact that I am employed full time through a staffing company (as an I.T. Systems/Network Admin) means to them that I cannot prove the income I make, even though my paystubs (paid weekly) show that I do. Horrible customer service The customer service was absolutely terrible. I ended up calling the credit union they got me approved with. When I dealt with the credit union directly I got a better rate and received much better customer service. The credit union was logix federal credit union. I dropped my rate from 12 to 3 by refinancing.
They did get my rate lowered BUT .... I received a mailer from Rate genius for a "Pre-Qualified" refi on my car with Xcel CU at 8.5% my current rate is at 10.95. I applied online and it took about 2 or 3 days to hear back from them. I got an email stating that I was "approved" however it was NOT an approval for the actual refi but approved that they would work with me.
