Way overpriced for the quality of food. Service was good. No children’s menu. Had to order regular entrees for a 4 and 6 year old. Too expensive

Red Eye Grill has been around for over 20 years and I have visited numerous times. There was a time that the food was great, expensive, wait service ok and you couldn't get in without a reservation. I always thought the food was pretty good until this past Sunday's dinner. Highly expensive and the seafood tasted old!!!! Wait staff was excellent. The menu is seafood focused and it’s ok but insanely overpriced for what you get Service is excellent And the location is great But the food is only so so and the prices are astronomical even by nyc standards

I can't really describe much as they accepted our post show (10:30pm) reservation, but when we arrived we were told that the kitchen closed at 10pm. It was very annoying. I'm not sure why they didn't: 1) contact us to cancel or 2) not accept the reservation in the first place. I can't speak to the food or the wait staff, but I'd definitely call ahead to make sure they will honor your reservation. Which is an extra step that a customer should not have to do.

We’ve been coming here for years. Love their Dover Sole. The Dancing Shrimp r no big deal and the clam chowder is more like tasteless potato soup. Service was horrible. If we wanted it we had to go get it. Never checked on us to see if everything came out right or if everything was going well. I’ll go back as usual because the Banana Cream Pie is amazing. The restaurant has a great feel. Just need to work on service. They had plenty of staff on hand.

Surprised hostess who seated us was not wearing a mask. Many waiters were walking around with masks UNDER their noses. First time dining INDOORS due to the rain. Was very bothered by above. Clam chowder was too salty. Signature sushi burger had very little tuna in it - mostly rice. Scallops were bland, and lukewarm. Perhaps we chose badly this night. Pre pandemic, had great meals here. Surprised and disappointed. Wine was great. Our waiter was wonderful.

I have dined here for many years. Last night there was 'entertainment' which was choking to me. I found it intrusive. If it were just piano in the background, but it was more than that. Intrusive, not conducive to dining.

The food was just "meh" and not like I remember Redeye Grill of old. I ordered the Branzino, Lobster, Shrimp, & Calamari Spaghetti di Pomodoro for entrees along with New England Clam Chowder, Spicy Tuna rolled with brown rice, and a caesar and mixed greens salads for appetizers. The sushi was rolled with white rice when server dropped it (had to send it back!), New England clam chowder was "murky" beige in color and quite different-tasting, while entrees tasted like they were cooked in heavy butter.
