Disappointing meal at Redeye Grill on Boxing Day. Have been there before, but was let down, by the food and service. Could not seem to accommodate my daughter's gluten free diet was disappointing. Shrimp as part of the Crab cake and shrimp was meely soft. Place was busy, but it seems they were not up to the challenge at 5 PM!!!!
My crab cakes were not good at all. Very disappointed.
Awful experience around the holidays. Food service took quite sometime. My partner ordered a burger medium and was given a veggie burger. 20 minutes later the next burger was delivered and it wasn't cooked - pink as a flamingo. Another 20 minutes later the third burger was delivered and was satisfactory at best. I ate my holiday lunch alone and then watched my partner eat his alone. Very disappointed.
We were a party of 6. The maitre'd was very cordial and friendly. I have been there before and enjoyed myself. But not this time. From the beginning our waiter Craig seemed stressed out. Horrible experience. 6:15 reservation for dinner before a show, we got there at 6:10. Restaurant was packed and the maitre d was slammed. It took us 5 minutes to get from the front door to his position. Once we gave our name there was nowhere to stand and my wife was getting pushed around by patrons and staff alike as there was no room. The lobster in the lobster roll was rubbery and tasteless and the fish tacos, although better, arrived at the table cold. Good ideas, poor execution.
The only thing saving this place is their prixfix menu. Others the food is terrible for the price and service was not that great. I will not be dining here again.
My husband, son, daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren (ages 6 & 8), and I had reservations for dinner following the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. I was using an Open Table $20 reward. I asked first thing, when they wanted the printout. The waiter said I should just put it in with my form of payment after the bill arrives, and the manager will run the credit card less the $20. We had theatre tickets, but once he took my credit card and reward, it did not come back for my signature for 10 minutes.
