I have had a few nice meals there, but this one did not meet my expectations. I ordered a filet mignon and asked for it just a little bit pink - as medium/well often comes out well done. Everything was very fresh and delicious..stone crab, oysters, and we shared a terrific lobster Cobb salad! Perfect!
My wife and I went to NYC for a weekend getaway and had stayed at the Hyatt Park. It was our first time in the city so we don't know where is a good place to go for dinner, so we ask the front desk at Hyatt Park and they had recommended The Redeye Grill. Excellent food and atmosphere. Disappointed with the service - we were ignored on multiple passes by our waiter. While he was charming when at our table, we found it difficult to get his attention.
Food was bad the tuna burger was worse then chick.en of the sea!
I have been to the The Redeye Grill a few times over the years for lunch but not dinner. It has always consistent in terms of food & service. Last week I brought clients for dinner. The noise level made it impossible to have a conversation. The food was good and our waiter was very attentive. Awful. Never again. Service was SLOW. Food mediocre. Noisy.
Our server had too much on obviously as he went missing for most of the time .. under pressure that the manager told him to make sure he looked after his father in law on the adjacent table rendering us seemingly invisible. We ordered a bottle of wine that took 18 minutes to arrive at the table and after our appetiser had been served and consumed .
