Bad food and servive. Has fallen off terribly from what it was before.
Normally you can count on excellent food and service but this time using a baseball analogy a strike-out. The only excuse was the restaurant was extremely busy and obvious the kitchen and staff not up to the level to handle the business, which is a shame because was a regular for me for business lunches and dinners. Waiter was flustered, drinks were only refilled after requesting several times, the food that came out after waiting 50 minutes was at best a C.
Food is mediocre and the prices are high Steak was not good - dry and overcooked (please don't claim that you can cook steaks as you obviously cannot do it) Server was infrequent slow and not really interested whether we liked anything Could not pack the dessert in a neat way so we had to leave it rather than risk to take it to CArnegie Overall result - high-priced diner - there are way better choices for pre-theatre meal. Will never repeat
Can't beat the location, we were staying at the Park Central. Heard it was the favorite restaurant of several people we knew. Kind of underwhelmed by the filets, just kind of blah without notable seasoning. I can do much better at home on my grill. And we were going to the theater that night, like I'm sure many were, and the service was sort of slow considering. Took too long for mediocre food. Not that impressed, same for the others on the party.

Used to eat here every time I was in town. Things have changed. New owners? Maybe. New management? Not sure. Wanted lobster, and in the past could always get it here in varying sizes. This time not even on the menu. Asked the waiter, and they do have it. 2lb only. But why not on the menu? Or a special sheet. I don't get that. Seems the whole menu had changed. The freezing dining room it was so cold my guests could not remove her sweater and wanted to eat with her coat on but would have been too cumbersome
I had always enjoyed the restaurant before this especially last Valentine's day. However this time- They changed the menu, the service was very poor(cocktails took about 20 minutes to get and we got them just before the meal), the food was not as good. We will not go back for Valentines day or probably any other time as well
We have been to Redeye Grill numerous times. The food is always wonderful. However, our visit Last Saturday was a bit annoying. We were early for our reservation and were seated in an area we've never been seated in. I asked if it might be chilly there, but the maitre D' assured me that the room was very comfortable.
