Restaurant was FREEZING COLD. They were nice enough to provide a blanket upon 2nd complaint. Nice servers, but they seemed understaffed. And the place nearly empty at Saturday lunch! We waited a long time for everything, including the check.
Service was a comedy of errors. Prices are way too high for what it is. Very disappointed.
Food was not good quality and didn't taste good. The cocktails were too strong. I recieved food I didn't order and prices were too high for what was served.
The food was good but very little for the price. I had the lobster roll which was around $28 and contained four pieces of lobster and some greens. Left very hungry!
Terrible service with very average to below average food, and expensive! 30$ for a cobb salad that was so nothing special ... just served on a shallow huge plate Save your time and your money
Red Eye Grill is in a great location. We found it overpriced. The quality of food was ok, but $30 for a veal cutlet with no accompaniments feels overpriced. Our server was excellent. She was personable and accurate! It is basically a tourist restaurant that is convenient to mid-town destinations. Not the worst we've been to, but we won't be going back anytime soon.
We made a reservation for 4 to attend afer a Broadway show. We were greeted quickly and offered a "very special table," but had a too terrible experience to enjoy it. The waiter was awful and it took forever to get just a simple round of drinks. We actually sat for 20 mins before the waiter even approached us. Food was OK, not fabulous. For the price, I expected superior service and was highly disappointed.
I've been a fan of the Red Eye Grill for years. The food is always flavorful, fresh and plentiful. My concern is the staff lack of professionalism. When I met my party at the bar, I placed multiple drink orders, and the bartender struggled with each order. First, they ran out of a Reserve Bourbon and the second order he completely forgot about it. The shocker here? The bar was not packed and there were open bar seats.
