Overall food and ambiance was very good. However, on this particular evening, the server was not attentive and slow to take our order. It was not a busy night therefore I was surprised by the slow service.
Restaurant week menu looked varied; myself and two colleagues went. For starters we had the smoked salmon (very fishy, only took a couple of bites but the potato pancake was good), the yellowfin tuna (tasty) and the miso matzoh ball soup (very good). The entrees were fish and chips (ordinary and the tartar sauce has nutmeg in it), the red roof rolls (ordinary) and the corned beef over tzimmes. I returned the corned beef as it was rubbery and went for the red roof roll which looked palatable. Best thing was the red wine sorbe... read more
Terrible service, very bad stay away from this over price terrible restaurant. The dancing shrimp house specialty had no taste and were over fried. The colossal shrimp was one shrimp and $15.00 for a second shrimp. Waiter did not serve dinner rolls, soy sauce for sushi, forget to tell us about dinner specials, had to ask several times for water and a soda. Awful place stay away. Any seafood place anywhere would be better.
Not sure if there was a change of ownership since my last visit- even though menu is still ver similar, the wait staff and servers are all very different. New staff is not as friendly as previous staff. Attention to the small details no longer takes place - old staff made you feel very welcomed.
Second visit was very disappointing. First visit was excellent, so I will give them a third chance. The greasy, garlicky fries that came with the lobster and chips were gone, and blah frozen tasting ones were on the plate. Gone was the salad that I loved with crab and bacon. My crab cake and shrimp were ok. The wienerschnitzel was underwhelming, and the service was sketchy. We had reservations for weeks and were still seated next to a terrible location where all the servers gathered and bumped into us with regularity.
great food except sediment in first glass of wine and one fishbone in the last bite Dover sole
Disappointing Sunday Brunch.A limited brunch menu was made even more limited with several of the choices not being available. The restaurant was out of lobster which was featured in at least three entrees. The shrimp burger was also not available. We were interested in their featured paella (which contains lobster) and even asked if they could substitute the lobster with something else, but that wasn't an option. We had silverware on the table, but no napkins.Their famous dancing shrimp was a disappointment. Four large shrimp on... read more
Was excited about going. When we got there we put at a very cramped table for four and told there was nothing else. Took 10 minutes to get anyone to come over for drinks. Another 25 minutes for before anyone took our order.after order our appetizers came out in about 2 minutes. This lead use to believe they were just sitting there in the kitchen waiting for someone to order them? Our drinks were never filled and table never cleared the whole time. I also found the staff to be indifferent at best. Food was good but nothing sp... read more
I returned after an initial pleasant experience. I doubt I'll return again, especially with my CEO and key Board Members! The food was good but the service was abysmal. We had to get the busboy to find our waiter on several occasions and the service of the food after we were finally able to place an order took forever.
