I have spent over $10,000 at this location and paid it off. I had to buy a stove and still owed $115 on a game system. I got sick and was out of work. Constant harassing calls, and then banging on my door and consistently ringing my doorbell. They said they came to take the stove and game and I told them I was sick and not able to deal at the moment and my husband would be by the next Monday to talk about the stove and it not working (supposed to be new). Well I have been a customer for over 10 yrs paid off multiple items couch kitchen table washer and dryer twice and more. Well I went to get a new couch and tv. paid half of it on the 3rd it was set on a month to month pay. But when I went to pay the other half on the 25th they had charged me another 200$ no explanation why I called the main branch they stated they do not charge late fees. Brought big bugs into my house broke my screen door didnt offered to fix it. Made me help. Deliver the material multiple times because they didnt have help to work very rude and disrespectful will not answer. The phone hung up on me. Told me not to come back and they were still charging me for the stuff that I was trying to return because I went somewhere else. Do not recommend.
Absolutely disgusting wilimantic rent a center the amount of HARASSMENT over the phone the calls 2-3x a day banging on my door every day you guys are that desperate for money because I'm having pregnancy complications and can't work and can't pay you RIGHT away? You guys are disgusting.

***** **** store manager of ********* AL location is extremely rude, insulting and unprofessional. I would like to be contacted about my experience and fellow friends of mines experience with said person at the store. I would leave less stars if I could. I will NEVER shop with Rent a center again after the series of events this person in LEADERSHIP conveyed to me. I totally regret my time, effort and decision of ever investing within this company!!!! The amount of harassment, belittling, and emotional distress Ive receive on a daily basis is astronomical!!! This company has thee most rude customer service **** ever!!! The calls and threats of a civil lawsuit, arrest and incarceration are beyond extreme!!! Hello everyone do not I mean do not go to this store they are very unprofessional, rude, not customer service oriented. Im deeply disappointed with the customer service I received from the store manager, *****. Around 12/9/2025, after I asked a clarifying question about an extension on my account, he told me:Im the last person you want to question or come at like that. Just for that, Ill not approve your extension and make you 30 days late.This statement felt like a threat, and I was shocked by the unprofessional tone, especially coming from someone in a management position.
