Rent-A-Center delivered furniture that had bed bugs, and I was bitten. I notified the store within the 30-day period and asked them to pick it up. They refused unless I paid $200, even though the infestation came from their furniture.With harrassing calls I eventually paid it, but the store still labeled me as hard, which is hurting my ability to open a new agreement at a different location. I have been renting from rent a center for months and at first I was paying ahead of time but they still came by my home asking if I still live there. I then was terminated from my job and I still kept paying and then the worker ******* M told me I was paying for RAC benefits plus and should utilize them so I did! I rented a bedroom set and a couch set. When I took the mattress protector off, I noticed my arm was ate up with bed bugs. I contacted them to let them know they needed to take this furniture so I can get my house exterminated. They came and looked at the couch, pulled the lining out, sat it upside down, stepped out to call the manager. They just left the furniture turned upside down with the lining out of it. Extremely unprofessional and harassing experience We rented a laptop from this Rent-A-Center and were late on a payment. Instead of handling it professionally, they sent a truck with a worker who banged on our door, refused to leave, and harassed us at home, even after we clearly said we would make the payment the same day. Rent-A-Center has got to be one of the most unprofessional, disorganized companies Ive ever dealt with. I placed an order for a washer and dryer set, was given a delivery date, and arranged my entire schedule around it, only for the delivery day to come and go with absolutely nothing. No phone call. If I could leave 0 stars I would! The manager **** is extremely unprofessional & rude! She refused to allow me to make a payment on my account to catch up! Then when I made the payment online she changed my contract without authorization from Bi-Weekly to Monthly needless to say I had to take the issue to corporate. This is the first bad experience I had with Rent A Center please dont do business with this location as their intentions are to take your money and try every avenue to make you breach your contract!
