Complete BS. I had a GoDaddy smartline for years but they changes their policy to only serve business clients and since I'm a real estate agent and not an actual business I would have to leave the company. When doing my research RingCentral came up and when I called they said they had no such policy with them. They list numbers on their website that they do not own so as to bait you into signing up with them so they can switch you to some other number after the fact because they cannot give you numbers they don't own. Literal bait and switch. SCAM DO NOT SIGN UP
I have been trying to port out our main business phone number from RingCentral without making any progress, and I must say, it has been an incredibly frustrating experience. All I seem to get from this company is the runaround.The main issue we've been facing is the constant disruption in our communication with our patients. The worst phone system for small businesses. They scam you into multiple-year contracts. The service is expensive for the quality of the VoIP system. They will charge you for services you do not need or use. Their apps are clunky, and the setup is difficult unless you are an IT major specializing in these systems. I would not advise businesses to use this service, especially small businesses. My pharmacy phone number have been stolen by unauthorized migration from my pharmacy to another doctor account who did a fraud and impersonated me, the doctor *** answer the phone and tell my customers that we are closed. READ THE SMALL PRINT! KNOW YOUR STATE LAWS! Dr's ******** here - 5 years with this service and they told me we can't cancel until **** without paying something in excess of $2,800.00 to cancel... why you may ask? Because they automatically re-enroll you into a 2 year contract after the first contract has expired. Wish I had looked better before I used them. Never was able to set up our phones. No help from their support. They charged us for phones, service, and a $900 cancellation fee but never provided phone service that worked. Employees were of no assistance at all.
I tried the service on the free trial and ported in my business line. After trying the service for a few days I decided best to take my number back to ***** Once I asked ringcentral for a port out back to **** I was informed to submit port request through ***** Since then I have put in 5 port request which ringcentral has denied. I started a RC account 6/1/2023. Ordered a phone that was (and I quote RC here), "Plug and Play ready." Got my phone in on 6/5/2023. Spent 1.5 hours trying to get it to connect so I could start using it. Spent another 1.5 hours chatting on the site or on the phone with a technician to get it to work. Lost more than $100 trying to get this done.Was told to call my internet provider and ask them if they could help me get it connected.
