After almost three years of partnering with Ring Central **** for a telephone line for my non-profit business that is no longer functional, I reached out 3 days ago to cancel the service line and was met with blatant refusal from the customer service reps. I asked them to stop automatic redrawal from my personal bank account and they refused. Instead, they suggested that I pay 300+ dollars for cancellation fees. VERY difficult to cancel. No online cancelling system, and they slow-play the cancelation process over the phone or with web chat.
FOr more than 3 years we have used RingCentral. This past month they offered lower pricing but not to current customers. I asked for the power pricing and after 4 phone calls and 2 emails, its still not updated in over a week. As a nonprofit, we must have lower costs. Their lack of ability to manage my account leaves me with the desire to cancel and go somewhere else.
We've purchased voip service from Ring Central 4 years ago. They drafted our bank account each month without issue. Little did we realize they have auto-renew contracts each year on our service. I verbally told our rep last year we didn't want to renew and he said he'd take care of it over the phone. I also wanted to reduce the number of lines, but this too was not met. Complete BS. I had a GoDaddy smartline for years but they changes their policy to only serve business clients and since I'm a real estate agent and not an actual business I would have to leave the company. When doing my research RingCentral came up and when I called they said they had no such policy with them. They list numbers on their website that they do not own so as to bait you into signing up with them so they can switch you to some other number after the fact because they cannot give you numbers they don't own. Literal bait and switch. SCAM DO NOT SIGN UP
I have been trying to port out our main business phone number from RingCentral without making any progress, and I must say, it has been an incredibly frustrating experience. All I seem to get from this company is the runaround.The main issue we've been facing is the constant disruption in our communication with our patients. The worst phone system for small businesses. They scam you into multiple-year contracts. The service is expensive for the quality of the VoIP system. They will charge you for services you do not need or use. Their apps are clunky, and the setup is difficult unless you are an IT major specializing in these systems.
