Nurse Shay is awesome, I'm really going to miss her. She always explained things to me and if I needed anything she would track down the right person for me and always had a positive attitude. TA Tarshae was really sweet, if a toilet got clogged, she would track somebody down to help, she helped me get shampoo when I didn't have any. Anything I needed. Tripp was great. Ali was great. Mattie does the peer leader program which was a great experience because I got to help a lot of people. I loved Demetrius's groups, it really k... read more

Veronica my case manager and Cami my therapist do their job very well. I played basketball while I was here. I wish the group sizes were smaller. I learned I have to change people places and things, that's why I relapse every time.

Adrian the TA was always really cool. Easy to talk to and relatable. Miss Amy was always real nice and really helpful. So was miss Jennifer my case manager. Tony and Demetrius had amazing groups, they were always real straight and straight forward, he always spoke truth in his groups. I enjoyed volley ball and basket ball, they had a pool table and we played spades. I learned that I definitely cant do this alone. Sober time is everything, the more time you have before you go home, the better.

Nurse Jessica from admissions saved my life. I overdosed and she called the ambulance because she recognized that I had used before my admission. If she would have not done that I would be dead. She was there for me when I was going through a hard time. She's an amazing person and her story gives me so much faith that I can do this. I'm so thankful she recognized that I needed help and took action. She really saved my life.

TA Iyesha and Eldred made sure that I was staying on track and that I always had a plan for after care. Eldred was always helpful supporting me and helping me make good decisions. They were really invested in me and my recovery. My Therapist and Case Manager Jenn and Karah were great. Jenn was helpful making sure I had a really good after care plan and always listening to me and my concerns, making sure I had a safe and secure way to leave. Karah always listened to me and gave me solid advice to help me open my mind about di... read more

Coming to River Oaks I was nervous and afraid of what was to come. Once here, I met a staff that was humbled and compassionate. Many of which I will dearly miss. I found myself again on that campus, I found purpose and direction but most importantly hope. My therapist Cami was phenomenal! There were day I wasn’t coping well and I found a sense of safety and compassion in her office. She took time with people even if it meant not going home till well after dinner. Cami I think you for seeing the potential in me and helping me... read more

TA Tarshae and Iyesha were very courteous and did everything they could even outside of their job to make sure we had everything we needed. They were very good in the community and always sent emails to help with issues. I know they were tired but they always stopped to help and always had a good attitude. Mattie was helpful with the orientation on where to go and how to do things. She is very patient which is key and she communicated very well. I was very nervous the first day and she helped me to feel more comfortable by g... read more

Amy as my therapist and Demetrius as a facilitator really helped me because they were very open and honest. He's not a sweet talker and he doesn't give you no BS. Amy always went above and beyond for me, she heard me and gave me tools and taught me about EMDR Therapy. One thing I liked was how the facilitators helped us relate to the material and gave us different aspects. I was able to get so many different perspectives and I enjoyed the openness. I went to the gym a lot and I loved the karaoke nights. There were so many gr... read more

There were so many that helped me during my stay here. The TA's are very relatable to the clients. My therapist Andrea was very helpful. Meg who does EMDR therapy was very therapeutic. They were able to bring some things out that I didn't want to deal with but I had to because it caused me to relapse. I got so caught up with work without really working on myself that led me to this point. I had a conversation with Dr. Sina that really helped because he has an abundance of experience. Orlando is a good dude, he really cares a... read more
