TA Tarshae and Therapists Karah and Amy made it so welcoming and were so easy to talk to. They told me what I didn't want to hear but what I needed to hear. They didn't sugar coat anything which helped me a lot. I learned that addiction is a disease and I really liked the processing groups. Everybody has been very helpful. The staff in the kitchen, all my peers, the group facilitators. I was grateful to be here. I hate when people complain about the food and the rules here. Everything to me has been great, Veronica my case manager helped me to get my ticket home and found it cheaper for me. I've been in this country for for 49 years and this is the first time someone has helped me. I definitely learned a lot here. All the staff members were courteous and kind. I didn't have a bad experience with anyone. The biggest thing I learned was from Demitrius, that I don't want to take my life and my ideas to the grave because of addiction. I know I can do it by letting go fear. I went to the 12 step meetings. Mattie and the TA's were a great help to me by being concerned for me and helping in any way they could. Overall it was a good experience.
My therapist Caitlin helped me get to the root cause of why I didn't feel comfortable enough in my own skin to live life on life's terms. Ian, Amy, Christina, Safiyyah, Brian, Ray, and Demitrius of course were all great. All of them together hosting the groups really help you see things objectively so you can circumvent things from happening in the future. This is life and death. I would recommend River Oaks rehabilitation facility. The staff was exceptional and kind and helpful. My husband got the help he needed and is doing well since leaving. Just a note a nurse should be more knowledgeable in treating diabetes. Also, the cigarette area should be used so the non areas are clean. Thank you. Elizabeth
A great place to start a new life :)
Iw am from TN. This rehab facility was great for me because I needed to be away from my hometown. The therapist Ali is awsome. The groups were well needed for me as well. Demetrius the group leader was so motivating. Although when 8 first arrived it seemed too me that they were very uncoordinated and but had it all together in the end.
I've had the best experience here, I don't even want to go home. Its incredible. I've tried everything I can to stay longer because its helped my metal health and to make life changes. The people here are incredible. The staff has been so helpful. Care Coordinator Mattie really made me feel involved and welcomed me by helping me become a big brother. Ms. Victoria in the business office, god I love her! She's the best because because she's such a joker and she always makes me laugh. She stays on top of her stuff. She gives you all the right resources and tells you all your information up front and honest. She takes her time to stop and talk with me every time she sees me.
