Stephen My case manager I would definitely recommend. Frankie the night nurse is excellent. Demetrius and Tony has amazing groups. Cecil the TA was a stand up employee. Ms. Lee the upstairs nurse was great, I nominated her for a Daisy Award. Nurse Glenn was also really great. The lunch ladies Diana and Angie were always very sweet. My first week here I had a hard time, I felt completely powerless and I wanted to leave, but PS Summer and Nurse Frankie helped me understand the consequences of leaving treatment and I stayed. Communication tools will be the most powerful thing to help me in my sobriety. Learning about the stages of recovery and the practical application from Therapist Tony was a huge help. Therapist Brian, I really connected with him, his communication style allowed me to get things out that I needed process. My case manager Veronica was helpful. Most of the staff members have the clients well being at heart. Each of the teachers teaches the classes in their own style and format which helped me pick up different nuggets. My therapist was outstanding. The nurses were great as far as my spinal surgeries, I had trouble getting around and she was always on it. They were very accommodating to my mobility issues. Demetrius groups were amazing. He is very inspirational. I was dealing with a lot when I got here. I learned that everything is not my fault, I had a family member commit suicide and a month later my sister overdosed. I had some guilt over that. My therapist Brian, my case manager Veronica, and the lady in the kitchen Angie were really nice. Veronica was easy to talk to. Therapist Cami was helpful, I really relate to her. She gave me a crystal to protect from negative energy. I played a lot of basketball while I was here. This is my fifth rehab and I learned a lot of stuff that I can apply when I go home.
There are no words to describe Demetrius! His groups were so refreshing. EVERYBODY wants to go to his groups. I liked when we all shared respectively. We would have extremely positive and memorable discussions in group. Demetrius sets us up to thrive because he does things that really make you think. He did he anger management with all of us and I was beside myself just watching a short video because it helped me so much.
Cami has always been real. I respect her a lot. I was in the military and I came here through the VA. When I first got here I was very private. Trina has been a trip and I would recommend her as a therapist to anyone because she's laid back and she's down to earth. Karah is funny and animated, she uses little quirks and it keeps you entertained but is also very informative. Jenn is also great. My therapist Ray really helped me, we did family therapy together with my wife. I had perfect attendance while I was here so that was really cool. It made me feel good. I didn't come to slack off, I came to fix myself and get everything I could out of this. Mrs. Trina also gave me a lot of great information. Saffiyah was real helpful, she had us do interesting exercises in her classes which helped me open up. I liked Ian and Christina. Those were my favorites. Nurse Shay was very nice. My therapist Karah I liked a lot as well as Cami. Demetrius, Dr. Vega, and Dr. Fahs always checked in on me and seemed present in all my appointments. The groups were interactive and I enjoyed the sharing because there was a lot of support from my peers. I did the Dharma recovery groups and I learned about setting boundaries and focusing on self care.
