So many people both clients and staff included are open for conversation and have been very welcoming. Andrew the tech is never judgmental and has always been understanding when I have a problem. He is always calm and happy with a great personality which is refreshing in a place like this. I have been to other rehabs and they are not all as nice as this. If you need help he is always there and even helped me get coffee one day when I was struggling. Thank you for what you do.

I have never met a more customer service oriented person in my life before I met Angie on the kitchen staff at River Oaks. She is a favorite here because there are a few of us that play volley ball after class during the second half of dinner and she makes us to go plates so we dont miss our meals. That was we can go have fun and decompress after a long day at group. She goes above and beyond by offering us waters while were out playing ball so we dont over heat. Elanna is part if the amazing kitchen staff that makes everyone smile while she is here. She will also do special events for the clients from time to time. I wish more people were as friendly as her, not just here but everywhere. I like listening to music in the cafe during lunch and getting coffee break in between classes which can be long but Im learning a lot of good stuff and would say that anyone who wants to get better should try it out.

Nurses are very pleasant and compassionate throughout my stay. Olga was very efficient, if there was ever an issue with my meds she would call the provider right away and get it straight instead of making me wait. Doesnt make you wait for med pass and always has interesting conversation when checking vitals. With the medical staff here you dont feel like a number because they treat you like a person.

The medical staff helped make me as comfortable as possible during my detox. Dr. Vega was very friendly and you can tell that she genuinely cares. I came here in shambles and scared as hell. I didnt think I could get through another day of detoxing and I wanted to leave so bad. But with the support and understanding of my therapist and Drew and Dr. Vega helping me with my meds, they got me to stay and Im so glad I did so I can get to the other side of this thing. Groups have been great, facility is nice.

I have enjoyed learning about DBT therapy. Ian the therapist is very intelligent, he keeps groups fresh and very educational. If I have any questions in groups, he always answers them thoroughly. The DBT has helped me learn about my emotional regulation and practicing acceptance to help me cope. Ian always stays on topic and has a different topic for every group that he does. Learning about these tools has been amazing for my depression and anxiety. Highly recommend.

Cristina is one of my favorite counselors because she does the groups here and lets us play recovery games that give us a break from the normal routine. I know Ill never get bored in her groups. Most of the classes are all really informative and honestly none of them are really boring. She has a very calm demeanor that makes you feel comfortable to open up and share, this place has changed me a lot since coming and starting over after my relapse

I have had all great encounters here so far. There have been nights that I couldn't sleep because I was going through detox or my meds were not balanced out yet, and the staff would stay up and talk with me at the desk which helped me get back to sleep. Adrian has been amazing at being there for me and others. If I ever have a request he always follows through and never hesitates to get something done.

Jennifer the TA helped me find my missing clothes that had gotten lost in the laundry. She also calmed me down when I was having a hard time. One of my friends was going to leave and she talked him into staying. Its clear that she really cares about her job along with the other techs and staff members here.
