My doctor Yousefi helped me manage my meds and find the right options for me for my anxiety and depression. She has been a great listener and for the first time I felt like someone understood what I was going through and actually took the time to make sure I had plenty of options to finally find the right medication for me. She was very personable and understanding and Im thankful to have had her as my doctor because I finally feel like I have some resolve with my medications.
The food is good and the facility is nice. My room is pretty big and I got a room mate that helped me out in the beginning. I had a couple issues with the ac unit in my room but the maintenance team was great in getting it taken care of. Pete came down and fixed it. He is someone that is always there for the clients and makes everyone feel comfortable and makes sure they have what they need to get through. The maintenance team definitely makes it happen.
Mark and the whole medical team have been amaxing! The nurse Mark is ALWAYS there for you, he never fails to go out of his way to be courteous and offer some calming energy like when things get hectic on the second floor during med pass he always looks out. He makes sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and no one is on the floor who is not supposed to be there or not assigned there. Id like to give a shout out to Jennifer the TA because she deserves her roses for always going above and beyond to help. She is extra friendly and personable. She always has good advice for me, whenever Im going through something I know I can come to her to talk and she will be attentive, helpful, and relatable. Its so good to feel like I have staff that can understand my situation and what Im going through because it helps to lift some of the shame Ive been feeling from having to come back to treatment another time. Every class I've been to so far has been a miracle. Demetrius the facilitator for the men's groups is highly impactful during this time in treatment. He is so inspiring from the stories he tells, the tools he gives us, and the passion he has for what he does and helping others. I never thought I could have the outlook that I do today, totally different from when I first got here. My therapist karah has been hilarious. My sessions with her are extremely relatable because she is a great listener and always takes my needs and concerns seriously. I have been able to feel comfortable opening up and dealing with things that I havent wanted to feel in years. Im so grateful to have a therapist case manager and doctor behind me to help get the resources and help that I need right now. All the techs have been awesome, I think the best experience Ive had has been with Keita the tech because no matter what she always has a great attitude. She has been helpful and has a great sense of humor which helps to lighten the load of everything Im going through that can be so heavy at times. I think the whole staff here are hard wrokers and go above and beyond to advocate for me and my sobriety. It feels good to be supported.
Kathy the nurse since I've been here has been very kind and extremely helpful. She goes above and beyond her normal tasks and duties, and she really cares from her heart. The groups have been very informative but its by the textbook mostly. I try to keep an open mind and just absorb what I need for my recovery. Mattie helped me out when I only had two shirts and a pair of shorts when I came in. she helped me to get the clothing I needed. and nursing staff has been fantastic with my medication. They've never turned me away and the wait is never long. Everyone asks me how Im doing and makes sure I have what I need. I made it to a couple groups even though I wasnt feeling good.
