The nursing and medical staff has been great every step of the way. Addressing my needs and helping me with my meds. Anytime I had an issue Nurse Kathy would email or call the doctor for me. She knows everyones names and is always very nice no matter what is going on. She looks out for the patients and you know that if you have a concern she will take it seriously and make sure she gets back to you with an answer. Ive gotten great care here due large in part to the awesome nurses like Kathy.
A lot of people complain about being here like the food and the classes etc but honestly, its all about perspective because you will get back what you put into this program. I love the kitchen staff like Alanna, shes great and one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. The ladies in the kitchen are always smiling and going out of their way for our meals which are great, way better than the dorms or in jail or at the sally. Cleaning staff is great I love that they change my towels and sheets every day and help do my laundry. This is actually one of the most nicest centers Ive ever been too. Compared to other places this place is like a resort because the rooms are huge, its only two to a room, your allowed to smoke and have your cell phone after five day, you can walk around freely and its a huge campus with lots of stuff to do during the day and night. Dr. Fauz is the best doctor ever!!! He helped me get my depression meds right and was there every time I needed him with great advice and a caring ear. He is super professional and always on point. He makes himself available and never treats you like a burden. Seriously the most amazing doctor Ive ever had!! I felt I was in good hands when I met with him.
Cristina my therapist has been amazing and made a huge difference understanding of myself and my addiction. I was able to dig deep into situations and things that have been affecting me like my anger, relationships, and my tendency to isolate. I started attending the AA meetings and learning about the steps. Miss Mattie brought in some great speakers that really opened my eyes about things like domestic violence and recovery. My case manager has gone above and beyond to help me get ready to leave. Veronica not only helped me secure my sober living, but she also went out of her way to help me create my resume so I have a better shot at getting a job when I go home. She made sure I had a letter for my judge back home so I can be in good standing with the court and complete my probation. Most of the staff will stop to help you out. When I first came in I wasn't sure where to go or what to do. Big Frank the tech stopped what he was doing to help me out and point me in the right direction, he even helped me get something out of my luggage which made a huge difference in my stay. Overall the staff has been extremely helpful, I got an orientation and was able to get started with classes and meet with my therapist. I have enjoyed the topics they cover in group like dealing with anger and coping skills, and learning about myself psychologically. All of the instructors have been really easy to talk to. I dont feel judged asking questions and I feel comfortable to share. The techs Robert and Andrian have been very helpful. Robert helped me with the cigarette order list because I didnt have a lot of direction when I first got here. He never gave me a hard and answered all my questions. I love the kitchen staff especially Angie because she is so sweet and approachable. She will stop what shes doing to make sure I have the right tray and she is always there for me if Im having a bad day. I appreciate al teh effort she puts into making sure everyone is taken care of and has what they need.
