Even though intake is rough because it takes a while, the nurse in admissions had such a great energy and personality that I put me at ease. Nurse Dre was so friendly and funny that I knew I was in good hands. He took care of me and helped me get through the process so I could get into my room eat a hot meal, take a hot shower, and get some sleep. It was a good start to the experience because I was really nervous and scared at first. Dre was very kind hearted and professional, he made me laugh and I appreciate that.
My therapist Amy is amazing. She is always professional and assertive which has taught me how to communicate better and in a healthier way. I like that she is so approachable and comfortable to talk to. Especially because she is strong willed and smart so she knows exactly how to control and manage her class room, which makes it so much easier for us to learn and get the most out of groups and treatment. The thing I like most about the staff here is that they are caring and empathetic. They all deserve a raise!
The therapists keep things very consistent with groups and sessions. Kara the therapist is very empathetic and holds staff and clients responsible for their actions, she creates a space for accountability with love. She makes sure we are engaged in our classes by keeping things interesting with awesome topics and intelligent discussion. She is a very genuine and caring person who is great with everyone she comes in contact with.
These ladies here work so well under pressure from the ladies in the kitchen, the housekeeping team, and the tech staff like Tarshay who is always calm under pressure while doing her routines and dealing with difficult situations. She is always calm and polite, honest, and helpful. She easily diffuses situations that could get heated. Its not always easy but she does an amazing job as well as all the staff members who keep their composure throughout.
I wanted to show my appreciation for Jennifer who works the floor a lot and is very helpful because she is even tempered, friendly, and respectful. But she is also no nonsense as in she does not put up with anything and conducts her floor in a very structured way. The staff here is very professional and respectful, they try their best to make things easy and make this an enjoyable experience. TA Adrian deserves a kudos because he is always happy and engaged in his job. I've noticed that he is always caring and friendly. He keeps things going efficient on his floor and also keeps it real. Hes a great guy and deserves some recognition.
The groups have been very enlightening since starting here and realizing all the things Ive learned along my journey as I come to the end of my time here. The case management services I have received have been superb. Geneen is extremely personable and goes above and beyond. She Does her job very efficiently because she is so organized and diligent. She helped me set up all my after care and make sure I was in good standing so I can take care of my next steps when I leave. I had trouble with planning my way back home and she took extra time out to make sure I was ok. Some of the staff here care a lot from the techs, therapists, case managers, and even the support staff like Maurice the lab tech. He is always so hype and likes to hype everyone up and make us feel good about ourself. He does the beach trips and takes us out on the beach with some music and games and helps us fish for sand dollars.
