For several week in a row the community wanted to recognize Gene the maintenance man but we could not figure out his name! He is very caring and truly deserves a raise! He goes out of his way to help and is gifted in his trade. He always talks to clients when they are having a bad day and shows a lot of respect to others. We appreciate all the hard work he does to make this campus a better place.
Nurse Christina is so helpful with the medication orders and always has an inspiring word of encouragement or piece of advice for me when I see her. She educates clients on different medications, side effects, and options and she is very proficient in her job. She is always happy, smiling, and uplifting while helping with medical needs which is exactly what a role model nurse should be. I appreciate her demeanor and her approach to her job and everyone she encounters.
Heather the nurse is a great nurse and a true professional because she keeps her calm in all kinds of tough situations. She is able to easily de-escalate people who are upset and still going through it by being calm and caring but still stern and straight forward. She is always friendly and non-judgmental and super efficient. More nurses should be awesome like Heather!
My therapist Amy is extremely down to earth and makes me feel better every time I get to talk to her in a session or in group. She is very comforting and hosts great classes because she takes command of the space and fills the time with very practical lessons and tools that have helped me tremendously. I've learned a lot to help me in my recovery while Ive been here and a lot of it is in thanks to Amy and her groups.
My case manager Geneen has advocated for me since day one. She fits me in when ever she is not busy, even when I dont have an appointment, she makes sure I get taken care of and she helped me coordinate all my after care and sober living that I need to be successful when I leave. She is very respectful and she respects your time and provides plenty of resources and options to create the best plan for graduating. I feel better prepared when I go home and more supported. I love that the staff is always smiling. I love that there is always a follow up to what ever I've got going on. Rachel the tech goes out her way regarding my concerns. I always see her running around making sure the job gets done. She will give you rides on the golf cart to help get you where you need to be. She helps keep this place running and she does it with an amazing attitude. I think she should be commended and recognized.
The staff is all relatable and listens to the clients. Jennifer knows how to brighten the days. She goes in to get the client's luggage and helps us to get what we need. She doesn't make us wait and addresses issues in the moment. She is always professional and shows that she cares by going out of her way to help on a regular basis. Thank you Jennifer for caring about what you do and letting it shine through.
I think it makes a huge difference to have staff that are not only consistent but considerate. The techs like Ryan do what they can to help or if they dont know an answer to a question or cant get something done on their own, they will direct you to the right place to go in order to get what you need taken care of. Keita the tech is amazing. She is always there when you need her and she is very present and good with her clients. I can tell she has a passion for helping people and I like that she is from Queens because she is very straight forward yet caring. All the staff here cares about their job and does their best to make this experience as comfortable as possible by showing compassion and care and concern.
