Veteran Frank is cool. He will joke with you and make sure you feel comfortable when you need your meds. I like the structure they have here. It helps me build my new routine and builds a sense of responsibility to my recovery. I'm learning that I have to take responsibility if I want to get through this and out to the other side. I like how they make even the most ordinary things fun here. There are lots of activities to do, one for every night of the week, and they have speakers and people come in to do meetings after classes like AA and NA. Its also fun in the cafeteria during lunch time because they put on music which is a great distraction, not as many people arguing or fighting with each other because the music just uplifts everyone's mood. Nursing staff has been excellent. Every day the nurses know me by name and know what medication I need to take so they have it ready to go and make the whole process easy and painless. If I need medication ordered or if I have a question about something, they make sure to get me with the right person or call over to the doctor and I always have my meds orders within a day after I put in for a refill which is great because it takes a lot of worry off my shoulders when I'm running low on my medication. I like when the staff doesn't sugar coat and tells the hard truths that need to be heard. It's like that in Amy's classes and I think she does a great service to the community of people here by being straight forward about the nature of the disease. It offers a realistic look at the reality. She holds amazing groups because she keeps it interesting by switching it up. I have enjoyed groups thus far because I feel they have been instrumental in developing new skills. I have been in the program and treatment before and had a period of sobriety but fell off and needed to come in for help. I think Christina's class room has been extremely beneficial and her sessions are great. She is a joy to be around and really knows how to put me in a great mood. I feel like the staff is always positive. I always see them smiling and helping out. Anything I need I feel like I can ask for it and it gets done. Any issues Ive had have always been fixed mostly right away. If someone doesnt know, they will direct me to the place to go or look into it for me. I appreciate Adrian the tech because he is just so positive and helpful. He really looks out for us and takes his time to stop and help. Its always a pleasure seeing him and the other staff.
Everyone has been chill. Staff is nice and clients are nice. Brianna the tech is very sweet and trustworthy because she is attentive to everyone's needs. If there is something I need, I know I can always go to her and she will not put me off or pass the buck. She always follows up with me and doesnt procrastinate. I appreciate because it shows respect for my needs and demonstrates real care and concern. This is one of the better programs Ive ever been to and its because of people and staff like Brianna.
Edelyn knows how to teach her classes. I love everything Im learning through attending groups and sessions with my therapist. My case manager has been extremely helpful as well. Im learning all about self love and how to rebuild my self esteem after going through a lot of serious issues. Edelyn's classes have taught me that and she is extremely sweet and calming. Staff is like a ray of sunshine, especially Elanna in the kitchen. I just wanted to give her recognition because no matter what, how busy that woman is she is just always there with a positive attitude and remains so efficient at her job. It really brightens my day to see her for lunch every afternoon. She is like the epitome of customer service and a total people person. Her smile just brings so much joy and I wanted to recognize her for that.
