Installation in one day, 25 panels, inspection in one day, we had to wait for the new panels and they said first week of April and it was the first week of April, very accurate. nothing to complain about, everything is super good.
We got around 7 initial estimates from EnergySage, and narrowed it down to 2 that were nearly identical. After meeting with both, we chose Solar Optimum because we got a better vibe from how organized and responsive they were. From the time of a signed contract to permission to operate from our utility was about 12 weeks, 3 of which was us waiting on our HOA to approve plans. This was also during a time of influx of solar installs to beat the California NEM 2.0 deadline. Pros: 1. The staff was very knowledgeable, profession... read more
Solar Optimum provided a great system at a great price. I had 3 or 4 quotes from various companies and only one company built a system that was comparable and a similar price. The only hiccup in the process was when we completed the required repairs there was no follow up and some difficultly getting the process going, in fairness, it was Christmas, but it did put our install another month or more behind. After the communication breakdown was resolved ,the process moved quickly and the installers were really helpful and ve... read more
I initially had some qualms about going forward as there were some unexpected charges after our initial quote, and it took some time to get someone from the company to explain what these changes were and why they were needed—I would’ve appreciated some proactive communication throughout that process. However, the explanations did make sense and were largely required by the local building code, so I went ahead with the installation. The crew was excellent—very fast, clean, professional installation. They kept the work site r... read more
They were middle of the pack with pricing and two friends used them recently and had a positive experience. Signed the contract around 10/3/2022 and the system was turned on 3/12/2023. I'd give them a 4.5 if I could but it went well enough where I still give them a 5 vs. a 4. The duration was likely long because of 1) all the rain that came this year and 2) everyone scrambling to get into NEM 2.0. A few specs: Had a 7.7 KWH system installed (no battery) Had to upgrade our electric panel from 100amp to 200amp The Pros: 1. T... read more
I’m working with a Gabriel and David and these 2 have been nothing but friendly , helpful and responsive. I was set against getting a solar system with NEM 3 but after speaking with them and seeing what the saving are I’m going for it. I’ll update this review as the process continues but so far great job.
I reviewed quotes from several contractors and decided to go with Solar Optimum based on price and quality reviews. The goal was to get grandfathered into NEM 2.0 and see about a 4 yr investment return. Unfortunately, due to a variety of reasons, I decided that cut ties and cancel the contract. Solar Optimum refunded my $500 deposit. The speed of service was not meeting my expectations and I lost confidence in the team, primarily the Sales Rep. At the end of the day, we worked it out and it's all good. No one is perfect.
This review is based on my experience during the initial consulting and sales process with Solar Optimum. I went with Solar Optimum because I liked their high-quality equipment recommendations at a good price per watt and their reputation among the Energy Sage community. I’ve been working with Energy Consultant Mason Brown to get the initial paperwork done in order to submit the Interconnection Permit application before the NEM 2 deadline. Mason provided a thorough understanding of the process and outfitting the solar system... read more
This review is based on my experience in initial consulting and sales. I went with Solar Optimum because I like their equipment of choice and good price per watt. I am working with Mason Brown to get the initial paperwork and financing done. We are hoping to get grandfathered to NEM 2 with the looming deadline. Mason is professional, very easy to communicate with, and willing to guide me through the process and make it easier to understand. I like his no-pressure, no-BS approach and getting to the point. My status is still ... read more
