This was our first choice on paper. Good reputation, good product and good price. But they are weeks behind in following up and we were worried that we could not make the NEM 2 California grandfathering deadline.
Very positive experience with this company. Every step from the quote, to finalizing the plan, financing, and the installation was excellent. I would certainly use them again for any future work.
I worked with Kevin at Solar optimum and he was great! Whenever I had questions or needed info he was incredibly reliant and quick to respond when busy. Everything with installation, operation was easy. I highly recommend these guys and have two friends working with them now as well. Great job!
Everything started great to get the sale after that the issues started. Had to get the electrical panel replaced, no big deal. Once installers were about to install, my roof was not up to the standard which had already been inspected and approved for installation. There goes more money. After the roof was done if I didn't call weekly my project would have never gotten done. For us it was getting tight to get grandfathered into NEM 2.0, but Kevin and William really pulled through and got us the site inspection etc. on time. Five stars!
I shopped around and compared quotes from many installers and finally selected Solar Optimum based on review feedbacks, very competitive price and overall warranty years. Diana and William helped in initial proposal and contract signing. Thereafter other team members took over for the next phases of site survey, design layout, permitting and installation. They had one of the lower end on quotes among other companies and lot of positive reviews here so I decided to go with them initially. But I probably ran into the worst point of contact Mason. He continually ghosted calls, gave misleading information and any attempts to contact after the contract was signed and especially disappeared after Site Survey was completed.
